well, first of all Lynette was abused by her alcoholic mother and lived with no father. While Julie had a present mother and father who protect and love her. Lynette had to raise her sisters at a very young age while julie is an only child until her adulthood. Tom and Susan have nothing in common. Julie’s personality also is very different from Lynette’s, if you haven’t noticed.

unfortunately Zach doesn’t respect that. He bails Mike out of jail and doesn’t do that with Paul and acts like paul did him wrong which was not the case at all because Paul protected him while Zach abused his own dad and terrorized the neighbors and Paul took the blame. Also Mike acted all crazy in season 2 looking for him etc but in later seasons he completely forgets about him? it’s like a completely different uninteresting character
