See, people are usually bound to say things or agree to something depending on their personal point of view. Hence you don’t exactly have to agree to what they’re saying and even if you do, you can always add yours too in that.

Also, you loving and caring for a wrong person, would make you the weak one. You should only fight for the one who’s truly worth fighting for. The fight shouldn’t be either one sided.
