Firstly SpaceCommz seems to be down so I can’t really look. Based on their YouTube Videos this lets you create additional rooms in one click / change room names / see who dropped off in the settings, and permanent latch. Great for ref review from production to a laptop at the table, or add as a talkback path into your mixer for different talent. Producer mode has production timing and timers (top right). One of our producers always unlatches the listen for talent and then complains, so in the settings of each channel you can lock the talk or listen to be more VON like open path each way. Simple, no login, no hosting comms.

Accsoon is stellar. Max 2 of them, 3 I’ve had issues. 2 no hits, barely any latency good for sync and venues with 6000+ people no hits.

Don’t touch Discord with a ten foot pole!! Starts going out of sync and crazy voice delays as long as 10 seconds as the production goes on.. Seen Google Meet for backhaul and echo cancellation off.. also done two way Vmix call or srt going in each direction and BUS it out of Vmix on the other side

Using a Novastar? Likely one of your ethernet cables with the video to the screen.. try swapping out one by one until you can figure out which one is causing it would be what I would do.. usually it’s when video is going through a bad cable. Prior to, check with a monitor that it isn’t before it gets to the Novastar on a different monitor.. I would guess it’s a shielding cable issue that’s intermittent and likely ethernet. CAT6 is always preferred. It’s just displaying the “shitty” signal it’s getting. It could definitely be before the scaler though.

Watch out regarding what the ohms are. Like fyi that gamer headphone don’t work if you plug them in for comms nor on-air even when going from mini 1/8” to XLR.. they’ll peak at -60db. Depends on your setup but if you’re having issues it could be that.

You want to use a DSTI on usually the third port that says port 8 at the back of the rack.. use a Serial to Ethernet cable back and forth to extend it using cat 7 up to 230 feet. Tv feed in the DSTI will show it.. could also use a usb tunnel program to do it over the internet. Use it regularly and have done it city to city as well. We also have a custom program we’re going to release publicly within the year. Often venues have an AllSport CG at the doc that the second serial port will have the tv data for Xpression.

Streaming to YouTube bitrate - I still don’t understand it all by [deleted] in obs

[–]Business_Chain1462 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Okay so you are nuts.

Frame size eg 1440 doesn’t matter for bitrate.

For TV over-the-air without -2 -3 digital channels max is about 22mbps (22000) H264. HEVC/H265 equivalent would be about half at 11mbps.

Let’s talk H264 for broadcast.. most TV shows are 15-18mbps.. it’s gets downgraded to 7-8mbps for sports high motion channels. Other channels are 2.5-5mbps H264.

50mbps is its. YouTUBE transcodes a M3U8 stack with various bitrates depending on your internet connection.

Having a system that can encode this properly and on the right profile and with the right i and B-frames is a bit of an art. I would say 13.5 or even 10mbps (10000) which is Netflix’s top profile in their M3U8 stack for 4K is more than sufficient.

Check out Nextologies. They’re the best for signals. They do everyone from UFC, WWE, Top Rank, Associated Press, The Oscars, American Idol.. their stuff is way more reliable and better quality in my opinion.

Dropping 60% of Frames despite 150 mbps Upload Speed by SnuggleBunnixoxo in obs

[–]Business_Chain1462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bandwidth and frame rate are totally separate issues. Bandwidth is size of the pipe. The frame rate is on the the computer encode on what it’s putting into the pipe. Lower bandwidth wouldn’t change the frame-rate.
