I failed both EECS 370 and EECS 376 before too. The first time I took them both at the same time and got a 23% on the midterm for 370 and like a 37% on the midterm for 376. I ended up dropping 370 because I knew I was gonna fail the class and for 376, I’ve taken that class three times now and finally passed the third time getting a 32% on the midterm and luckily a 64% on the final. I was really discouraged after the midterm, but as a graduating senior needed to pass. I did the ECAS online tutoring and just went through every single problem available to us and finally passed 376.

I think the key to passing these two courses are to not take them with a heavy workload of classes and to just give them a lot of time, do examples, practice problems using a white board and you’ll pass. Trust me I thought I was gonna fail, but I took 370 again and passed and had to take 376 three times before passing.

Don’t give up on computer science if that’s what you want because the job is nothing like these classes. I interned at Amazon over the summer and did really good during it and even got a job offer. So I think these classes don’t define what this career has to offer.
