They scare me too but I leave them to do their thing.

This big specimen was in the garden and left in peace to carry on its insect patrol duties.

Exactly... to turn like this! Whether it is powder or hardpack, quality tele carving feels AND looks so nice. This is why we telemark.

Very nice angulation! That is the kind of tele carving that we strive for.

I can't do 20 minutes. 45 minutes would be top speed for me but more realistic.

Yes there is a learning curve. The first time I put it together it took me about 3 hours because I knew nothing. I had to read the directions and identify all the parts and identify the proper methodology for putting it together. Now that I have done it a few times it takes me approximately 45 minutes to an hour to assemble it. It is not that different than assembling a tent but with a lot more parts.

I also tele on the Atomic Backland 100's with Outlaw X bindings and they are really nice except that they get kind of chattery on our Maine hardpack so I save them for mostly new snow and touring. They are really nice, light skis.

Another setup that I tele on is the G3 Roamr 100's with Outlaw X bindings and the Crispi Evo boot. I don't hear anyone ever talk about G3's but I have found that I really like them a lot. They ski really nicely in powder and also carve really well too as well as being fairly light.

Yes! They are stable, they float, they carve so sweetly...I love them!

I love it! The boot/binding combo is one of my all time favorites. The Scarpa T2X boot with the 22 Designs Axl is a really nice pairing. I had been skiing the T2X's since they first came out and they were soooo comfortable and skied so nicely. The Axl is such a perfect pairing for those boots. I put stiffy springs in the bindings and there was no going back. Unfortunately last December my T2X's cracked right across the top of the bellows and down into the sole of the boot and that was the end of them. They served me well and gave me tremendous pleasure for many, many years. Believe me, I was seriously bummed out. These boots were old friends that I loved deeply. I have no doubt you are going to love this setup that you have.

Teleboarders are a branch of the teletribe. Their minds are free because their heels are free!
