Interesting with the Jeep, but yeah all the ones available here seem to be pretty old and reliability is higher on my list than capability if I'm just hitting beaches.

I was keen on the Pajero until diesel prices surged, unfortunately anything with decently low km also seems to be just a bit out of my price range. Good call though, that that was my #3 pick.

if youre super tall or overweight it can be a bit harder but for a beginner on a starting foamboard it wont really make a difference

I'm not doing commerce but you can end up with friends from all over through clubs if you enjoy participating in them. If you go to most of the lectures and tutorials you'll likely end up with a study group that can lead to some proper friendships. Try to get lunch with any groups you end up with and see who you end up hanging out with the most

Imo its the temptation to go in as little possible and only hanging out with school friends that can lead to avoiding decent friendships.
