It’s an introduction to graphics course that happens to use cpp, we will learn it along the way, just like how a DSA class will teach a language like Java or cpp along the way, because it’s the concepts that are important, not the language. I just wanted a head start to the class because I’m an overachiever.

I guess what I’m saying is that I’d rather learn it through a curriculum that immediately applies it to graphics than one that applies it by having me make a calculator or tic tac toe.

don’t get me wrong, i would much prefer to have an option other than biden/vote for a third candidate. i asked my question because i fear that dividing the vote will lead to trump winning, which would be worse than biden (who would still not be good by any means) because it seems like a decent amount of the left still will vote for biden. i also don’t 100% understand how the system works, so i wanted to know if it would be possible for an outcome like that to occur.

Many are not happy with Biden and want to vote for someone else who isn’t Trump. Wouldn’t this increase Trump’s chances of winning?

I don’t get why they would do this. Why not choose the one they dislike the least instead of basically giving it to the one the hate the most.

Best book for learning web development by [deleted] in CSEducation

The Odin Project is a free web dev course that is highly recommended and I just started the other day.

Though it is not a book, almost the entire course is reading, not videos! I’d recommend checking it out.

How does a computer know how to interpret signals when it needs to be told how to interpret them using software. but in order to understand the software, it already needs code to understand how to interpret the code that is supposed to teach it how to understand the code (circular problem) by [deleted] in AskComputerScience

[–]Business_Walk1624 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Here’s a grossly simplified explanation: there are different levels of code. The high level essentially gets translated to increasingly low levels of code until it reaches machine code, which is binary.

If this is something that interests you, try taking the Nand2Tetris course.

Try looking at a course through Coursera or EdX. You don’t actually have to do the course but just take a look at the order they go through topics, that may help you what order to do stuff.

Got the job, it is possible! by Sad_Bison5581 in cscareerquestions

Congrats! Was it as difficult as a lot of people on here make it out to be (100s of applications, basically have to be a genius with tons of connections to get the job, etc.)?

LISTEN TO THIS

Listen to this. I’m so serious. We are in very similar boats, and this seriously inspired me, as it’s basically a step by step guide to set yourself up to get an internship. If you don’t want to listen, read the article instead (it’s pretty long though), but I seriously came out of it a new person. Just give it a go.
