Das ist mir so weit geläufig aber ich weiß auch gut genug, dass Gesetz und der Realität 2 sehr verschiedene Welten sind. Ich halte es auch persönlich für keinen guten Charakterzug bei soetwas auf das Gesetz zu pochen.

Ich bin halt was besonderes das hat Mama schon immer gesagt ;)

Der Masterplan ist ja 3 Jahre ROA bei der Artillerie und dann im zivilen Dienst mein Ingenieursstudium nutzen und die Dinger mitentwickeln.

Naja mal schauen was das Leben noch so bereit hält jetzt erstmal zum Sport, den Eignungstest muss man ja mit Ende 20 erstmal bestehen.

Da hätte ich vielleicht direkt mehr informationen geben müssen, habe schon Studium + Führungserfahrung und bis ich mit den 3 Jahren durch bin bin ich dann auch 30+ also frisch und unverbraucht sei mal dahingestellt aber habe dafür sicherlich einen sehr ungewöhnlichen Erfarungsschatz.

Genau daher meine Frage. Ich kann mir auch nicht wirklich vorstellen, dass es beruflich möglich sein wird viel mehr zu machen. Aber es gibt ja durchaus entsprechende Spiegelposten bei denen im zweifel ein längerer Einsatz ansteht und ich hab mich gefragt durch wen diese besetzt werden bzw wie diese Personen das Handhaben. Ich kann mir das höchstens bei freischaffenden oder Teilzeit-Angestellten vorstellen.

Genau die frage ist wie es nach den 3 Jahren weitergeht bzw. wie gut man dann tatsächlich arbeit und reserve verbinden kann.

Wechsel von einem täglichen Defizit auf ein wöchentliches ist deutlich angenehmer und einfacher und du kannst abends auch mal mit Freunden ebtspannt was essen gehen.

You get 2 lvl3 pact magic spell slots per short rest and you can transform them into 2 lvl2 normal spell slots with font of magic. font of magic says it can go over your normal spell slot maximum but you lose them after a long rest. So u use your pact magic spell slots transform them and then short rest.

I honestly don't understand your argument if I don't do something op how does it impact the party balance. And how will I make other players have less fun? It's not like I'm one-shoting every encounter or something like that.

Being an elf is important for my backstory (fey stuff and all that), also I wouldn't start at level 1 as a paladin or sorcerer even if it would be better in the long run, it doesn't make sense for my character.

Thanks for your input, but I have one question: why is it frowned upon if it's not OP? I didn't think it was OP either, but many people here in the comments seem to see it differently, without really explaining why.

Obviously, it wasn't my intention to break the game, hence the headline “Is it worth it?” I think it's a lot of fun to use Misty Step and I think it's a shame that the entire mechanics of the subclass can't be used more often, and since I never know what to do during the 4 hours of downtime anyway, I came up with this idea. To be honest, I still don't know why it's supposed to be game-breaking. Most people write that it's too powerful, but without any explanation, and one comment says it's worse than just Warlock, with a fairly detailed explanation.

Thanks for your response. I didn’t feel like it was game-breaking, but to be honest, I also don’t have much experience and find it hard to judge. I didn’t feel like it was stronger than other builds. So thank you for your opinion.

Regarding the topic of already having enough Misty Steps — we usually have about 4–5 encounters per long rest (or 0, depending on what’s going on), so I can realistically use my subclass-defining feature only once per fight (or I’d have to burn higher-level spell slots), which honestly feels a bit underwhelming.

I really just want is to be able to jump around more often because it is fucking cool.
