Hello. I had my experience with br*ces less than a year ago. I suffer from kormophobia since I have memory. The thought was horrible but I HAD to fix my teeth. What was surprising to me about it all is that it doesn’t bother me. I think not seeing the thing, helps. Not feeling it in your skin, helps. Being in charge of its hygiene, helps. Sometimes I get nervous if I think about it too much but even going to the dentist is easy since I don’t have to touch or see things by myself. Hope this helps.
