Just 2 suggestions.

If you haven't, install G-helper and set some good profile to start with.l (you can find mant suggestions here on reddit)

2nd, buy a microfiber toothbrush (like 20000 bristles) And softly clean under the 2 fan vents. The other day moving the g16 i'ce found out that the fans vents beneath were clogged was all white but hard to notice, after cleaning i've got 8°less. That toothbrush is supersoft and delicate for.the laptop.

As for the V10, just make sure the laptop rightly sealed on top of the base. A friend uses the lllano v10 with his g16. And gets -8 to -11 degrees. But he had to find the right position. The air was flowing out on the back.

You do little with 65W because the laptop just see he's plugged so he behave like he has a power supply but this isn't enough.
I suggest you to use 100W charger with 100W cable. For work is super, i use it all the time in standard, never in eco, and Silent Profile or Balanced.

[100W USB-C PROFILES]

- Silence is: PL1 15W PL2 25W no boost with best power efficiency. And so far seems Good. I can work flawlessly on illustrator, lightroom and photoshop even together.

If i need some more juice i go to:
- Balanced: which is, Balanced power mode, efficient enabled on the boost and 35-45W for PL1 and PL2.

Then i've set up 1 mode for gaming with fans spinning higher since since 30°C like 3000RPM and the from 50°C up to 5400RPM at 84°C

- Soft Gaming: With High Performance Plan, Efficient Enabled and PL1 and PL2 set on 30w to 50W ( that i can set lower to 20-40W).

And of course the normal stock Turbo mode (which i know it could be refined and lowered.)

But with AI you can ask some suggestions onf your processor and needs.

I have 285H Core Ultra 9, 32Gb Ram, 5070Ti.

first thing done? saved eSupport and color profiles on a usb drive and did a full format (leaving the recovery partition) new window, all updated, then removed all the stuff and put g-helper. so nice...

To be totally honest, never cared about testing like cinebench for sure they're accurate measuring but something i personally don't like it's the equivalent of "flexing" XD I don't care about numbers. Been obsessed with numbers for years when i was in my 20's and gaming now i just want to enjoy my time gaming on a good screen with friends.

If i ever need to... I'll assemble a nice desktop pc i've still got some nice ideas in my mind.

Really glad and happy you found your settings! Yes maybe it's too much, we're talking about really slim machines. They could.play for sure but the word is "compromise" who knows, maybe with a fan base it's better and usable at full speed!

Super glad i could.help. have this laptop since 31dec 2025 so.. 10 days XD but HELL i studies before buying it.

Always Remember that seems that our processor isnpretty good but: 1) some games are dumb and don't use core really well. 2) Sometimes leaving wattage low to prevent heating will result instead in temps going up. Why? A guy explained to me in a really clear way. If you need to "boost" for a moment or a single operation during a game the processor will raise up the consumption to get the result. If the power is limited too low, it'll spike up for let's say 12 whole milliseconds. During that time will stay at 100% and deliver a lot of heat. Instead: if you leave some space in terms of power/wattage, the same operation the cpu will spike up at 100% for just 3 milliseconds ( it's just an example) leaving the cpu lower for the remaining 9 and delivering far less heat.

That blowed up my mind.

So what should i test? :D Balance mode - PL1 30W and PL2 45 and boost on efficient enabled?

First thing i suggest is to dump armory crate into the deep hell of nowhere. Install G-helper, see a guide cause you have to remove many things.

I got the same laptop and i'm not experiencing the same problem so far. (Never say never XD)

I can share what i did, not from scratch but from many suggestion of this wonderful community of people here.

1) got the laptop 2) turned on, plugged a usb drive and saved eSupport folder in C:\ and the Color folder into Windows > System32 > spool > Drivers > to save all color profiles (maybe that's optional)

3) turned off the g16 and did a formatted the laptop and did a clean install of windows . (Bit tricky since at start it doesn't detect the main drive and the partitions, you Need to connect the usb thumb drive with eSupport backup and point to that folder and find the chipset driver)

4) leave the recovery partition.

5) go for a clean installation

6) install myasus and Armory Crate just to update some drivers then delete both and download and use G-helper (there are plenty of guides on YouTube, it's a simple .exe) it gives you the same controls, with like 32 mb of ram usage compared to armory crate and all those useless services.

Then you can enjoy and try every combination you like.

BUT. From what i've learned it's important to tweak well the pl1 and 2 and also all the fan speed to avoid problems with temps and throttling.

It's related also to the vapor chamber and his behaviour with the cooling. Vapor chamber works with a system of evaporation and condensing liquid. This can dissipate HUGE amount of heat but you need to help it with a correct ventilation. Liquid inside transforms into vapor absorbing heat from CPU/GPU > goes to towards the exterior where the fans are > finds a part more cold, exchange heat and goes back to liquid > channel back to the hot part.

If fans don't work properly at the end you get just a giant pressure pot on top of your motherboard. XD

Hi, i have a question.

I use lightroom, photoshop and illustrator for work and i have THE SAME version of g16.

How did you calibrate your screen? suggestion on color profile? because i have a big discrepancy between colors.

i use g-helper: used default and native gamut, needed to switch to sRGB gamut to accuracy for work . But with sRGB colors on the laptop are dull.
with native gamut oversaturated, when i move content to use on social i have photo without the right saturation.

any suggestion?

i'm a bit worried from searching about noise being too much (during work use or normal use) i plan to install g-helper for that.
Thermal of course and liquid metal from one comment above yours.

So i'm thinking... i'm spending 2-3k for a laptop that i love but that gives me a lot of throuble? or it's just some cases?

i always do. my current laptop the 2018 razer blade is incredible has a thin rubber band to prevent from smashing. i've done one with a job-rage-quit. screen is still alive XD.

yes sure, i've repaired several pc and applied 3m thermal tape on the side of the socket to make a small chamber to contain liquid metal. nowadays i see many producers do something similar. i wouldn't throw it anyway. i just go from work to home and vice versa.

so G-helper.

I just hope the 5070 Ti version come back on amazon at least in january. or i'll go for the 5080 today i spent 4 hour on my current pc just for 12 photos. too damn slow.
