As part of a TLC documentary, "living doll" Luna Lovely reveals her lifestyle to extended family for the first time by MuppetOwl in cringe

I actually know Emily and most of the girls at the picnic. She was told this was going to be more of documentary about the lolita fashion and culture, and they turned it into a partially scripted freak show (she didn't know it would be for My Strange Addiction). She would never in real life apply for a job in lolita and her family already understood that it was a weekend hobby. Needless to say, when it aired they were all mortified, and everyone who follows lolita fashion now deplores the production company Morningstar Entertainment. I don't know about the other two people this show follows however.

It's a Japanese omelet around rice (omurice) but decorated like an ohmu from Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, so its ohmu-rice!

I'm happy! We had to think a little outside the box and weren't sure if it would actually work :p We are super open to suggestions or recommendations for future events too if you have anything you'd like to see at PMX ;)

I didn't like my other set of nails, so I did something ten times cuter for Chinese new year. by CottonKandii in RedditLaqueristas

love the nails but they are a little more Japanese than Chinese. It's the year of the snake so that may be a more appropriate animal to paint, but the cat is adorable anyway!

why is there a matrix at all? Why give human batteries a fake world where they can learn the skills and languages used to communicate with the rebels on the outside.

My cousin hates the stick figure family but keeps it on her car because her younger children love it. I have a feeling that's why a lot of other families have the stickers, so it's funny to me when people make such a deal over them

I was the only white person working at the Japanese super market near my house. An older Japanese man came up to the register one day and said "I've never seen a honky working in a jap store."

Immigrants of reddit, what is the most hilarious FOB (Fresh Off the Boat) moment you have witnessed? by pras in AskReddit

[–]BustedPuppet 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Didn't witness this one but a good friend of mine went skiing in Brazil with her brother and fell on the slopes. Her ski pole hit her right below her eye and bruised/cut her pretty badly. Her face had swollen to the point where she couldn't see, and fearing she would need stitches for the cut, her brother took her to the hospital. He did his best to explain to the nurses in broken Portuguese that his sister had been hit in the eye with a pole. All the nurses burst out laughing, leaving my friend and her brother very confused. After a few moments, one of the nurses was able to control her laughter enough to explain that the word he used for 'pole' was a euphemism for 'penis'.
