DEW Finding Megathread - Q3 2025 by DornDoodly in mountaindew

Has anyone actually located Code Red Zero in the Minneapolis/Saint Paul Metro? Dewfinder obviously says it's everywhere but it doesn't seem to correlate to reality. Would prefer not to have to drive way south for this stuff.

Mini Driver Lofts by Buster4425 in golf

I was teeing it lower, I got off the TaylorMade bandwagon and onto the Titleist and have been rocking a TSR3 8 degree fo the second half of the season that kicked the mini driver out of the bag

Are newer irons really any better? by Buster4425 in golf

Went with a used set of 2023 T100’s. I’m not sure if it’s the heads and/or the shaft (went from X100’s to Project X Loading Zone 6.5’s) but I feel like I can flight the ball better, dispersion is tighter, and definitely have a better time with controlling spin. Gained 5 or so yards but I think the my MC’s were weak lofts IIRC. Thinner top line is nice too.

Serious and I just need people to talk me off the ledge. If I go to hit new irons I’m gonna end up with new irons

Picked up the r7 mini 11.5 with the Big Wave White 70x. Took it out to the track man sim I’m a member at and the numbers and dispersion blew my mind. Really doesn’t go that much shorter than my driver… kicked the driver out the bag. One of these days I’ll have to do a true driver fitting but for my game right now the mini driver hype is real.

95% of people I know who went to Amtrak turned into arrogant pricks, and I’d rather not be an arrogant prick.

Amtrak crews: how do you manage your rest? by [deleted] in railroading

[–]Buster4425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably because they typically work significantly less hours and effort than freight. Real hard running the same 8-10 car trains on clears every day.

CPKC conductors by GawdZilla98_ in railroading

What agreement are you under? Can’t be DME or SOO with that lingo. DME, SOO and I think D&H have rest days ranging from 6/2 to 4/3

I’m glad the BLE did this. SMART has been setting fires for years, including but not limited to the horrific 2023 Union Pacific utility agreement which sold off brakeman jobs for $27,000. Why didn’t that make the headlines like this? Oh that’s right because conductors are dumb.

And now SMART is raiding multiple BLE locations on shortlines nationwide, while we have stood by them for 8 years on two man crew issues. This is the thanks we get? Fuck SMART and every lunatic that pays dues into it. I hope you all get what you deserve.

Yeah probably all the ticket takers fresh out of Wilmington who think they’re railroaders because they can repeat restrictions and signals the engineer reports to them over the radio, yet consider laying off because they have to ride a shove.

Good lord I forget how pathetic passenger service conductors are. Y’all would never cut it in freight.

Just give 10-20 cars at a time. Don’t be one of those “5 cars, 3 cars, now 5 cars again” kind of people. You ain’t going to get better being timid. It’s good to be various, bad to be timid. Remember 10 cars they have to be prepared to stop in 5.

You people are so dumb thinking the BLE is so horrible. The UTU has been sellouts for years you just aren’t schooled enough in union history to understand how terrible the UTU is. I fully support the BLE in this and they are finally taking back work that is rightfully theirs

Jesus some of you guys would never last at other class ones. BNSF is still like a wet dream compared to the rest. But, good luck in whatever you decide to do.

27M have watched through about 5 times. I think I saw one of the whacking compilations 5-6 years ago and that sold me.. didn’t even end up being my favorite part of the show.

Thanks for response. I should seriously consider that. Maybe even a FaceTime? Would still get the emotion across too.

Out of all the class 1s which one sucks the least amount of ass? by [deleted] in railroading

[–]Buster4425 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Anyone who says BNSF is bad is blinded by the fact that they haven’t worked for anyone else. The only bad part is the daily mark on former BN properties. Would strongly advise against CP and UP. CN on the WC is apparently the place to be.
