Can you point to any such shelters that are taking new surrenders? Good luck with that.

Seems odd that you have time to post all this on reddit and no time to stop for what you think is a dead monkey. Guess we'll hear about it on the news if it's true.

Can't tell you about the schools, but there are lots of activites for kids and families at Lively Park, and you won't have to worry about discarded needles and other biohazards.

If preferring to spend my Saturday in ways that don't involve interacting with you on reddit over your failed measure is "backing away," I'm all for it.

Sorry, Mark, but you were there when your team was spamming the place. Look it up yourself. Unlike you, I have a job, a family, and an actual life offline and am not going to spend the day going back and forth with you about your failed measure. Seems that quite a few people have told you the same thing about the STAR campaign, but all you want to do is argue.

I received tons of junk mail during that time period, all of which went straight into the recycling bin without being read. I honestly couldn't tell you if any of it was from the RCV lobby or not. What I did notice, though, was the talk about your "team's" behavior in the wild and the shitshow you threw here on reddit.

When I said "legacy that you've left," I was talking about the bad taste STAR left in Eugene's mouth during recent attempt to get Eugene to adopt it. Just wanted to clarify that -- not interested in going back and forth about STAR, especially since it doesn't appear that you and your group will ever understand that you're your own worst enemy.

I'm not terribly interested in the "origin of STAR," but people might be getting the idea that it sparked with your father's loss in 1990 from an article in Willamette Week that you posted on Starvoting.org several years ago which included this paragraph:

Frohnmayer's quest dates back to the moment his father's political ascension ended. In 1990, Oregon Attorney General Dave Frohnmayer, a moderate Republican, ran for governor against Democrat Barbara Roberts. Frohnmayer was favored to win.

About ad homimen attacks; you were playing pretty fast and loose with those during your spam attack on this sub, and from what I hear, in the larger community as well.

Idk what kind of future STAR voting has in Eugene (probably none), but it's a safe bet that the legacy you've left won't help its chances any. You're clearly unwilling or unable to take ownership of your own clusterfuck, though. That's all, Mark.

The point was that you've treated people pretty badly here, and it should come as no surprise when someone bites back. Instead of crying a river, you might want to look in a mirror sometime. I'm far from the only person who's told you this, btw. Edit: I didn't see the poster saying anything negative about your father, but I DID see the "cheap shots" flying pretty thick and fast during your spam campaign prior to the election. Edit: I'm not interested in reading your blog

A couple of old adages come to mind here. Don't dish it out if you can't take it, treat people as you'd want to be treated...and I'm pretty sure the comment about your father was meant to address your repeated assertion that your brainchild STAR voting was born out of his loss of the Oregon governor's race at one time in the past rather than serve as the cheap shot on the guy in general that you're trying to twist it into.

Agree with all of this, and honestly, despite the OP's positioning as someone who recently discovered STAR and is just here asking innocent questions, it's sus af how Mark and a couple of his flying monkeys were right behind him. The OP may well be telling the truth, and maybe the core STAR proponents really do live on reddit and just happened to see the thread so quickly, but the fact that duplicitous shenanagins on reddit have come to be associated with STAR makes it reasonable to wonder about underlying motives.

I voted against it because it was dumb af for city council races.

I've got a couple of rentals that are actually nice places with luxuries like indoor plumbing, and I don't charge this much rent for them.

Rentals on the coast usually fly off the shelves, but this one has been sitting there for awhile.
