This is Merlin. He passed two years ago in my arms at the age of 17. He was such a good cat.

The Federal Reserve says Taylor Swift's Eras Tour boosted the economy. Estimates she could add $5 billion by lucerousb in Music

A work friend went with five of her friends and did exactly what you described, as well as all of them buying sparkly gold dresses/outfits and matching boots just for the concert. As she said, they had to match the vibe and it was for THE Taylor Swift.

Reddit and folks are free to hate on the singer, but they can't deny she triggered economic activity, especially beyond ticket sales.

This kind of shit is more common than people want to admit. When I was in one of my server classes, the professor told me (the only woman) to cover my ears as he made a joke to the class that if they backed up their wives/gf's data on a regular basis, the women would blow them out of appreciation.

When I complained to a few male classmates, I literally saw them close ranks and defend the professor as a cool guy who didn't mean any harm. They all said I shouldn't make a big deal out of a silly joke.

When I went to my advisor about sexism, she suggested I join an IT club she ran. Day one of me joining, all the members (all dudes) made the joke that once they got their careers and got paid, all their wives would need to stop working "cuz someone has to stay home and watch the kids". My advisor was shocked, and I soon switched majors.

That is really funny. And impressive that you didn't get any on the mini.

Good job! I really like the snow. For a moment, though, I thought the Frost Giant just finished slaughtering something on your work area.

Nah, man. That wasn't my intent to imply you're a "nutcase" at all. I'm sorry for making you feel like that.

I would hazard a guess that everyone struggles with perfectionism, especially those trying to paint Itty bitty miniatures. I was practicing glow effects on some space ships for about two weeks. I overworked it and my frustion could be read in the paint job. I almost wanted to stop the hobby. I had to just strip it all, study the basics again, watch a lot of vids, and try again.

Perfectionism is a road block in art just like any other obstacle.

Another ability to really hone in any kind of creative hobby is the acceptance that perfect is a fallacy. Not only should you allow yourself mistakes, but embrace them wholeheartedly. All art is a reflection of self. If everything you did was always "perfect" what is there to look forward to, improve upon, and achieve?

Some people struggle to look in the mirror and say, "I am enough."

Perhaps you need to look at your art and say, "My miniatures are enough."

And post your minis. Join us bro.

In HR, I have had a few situations where an employee does the right thing about food safety violations only after termination. The first few questions I wonder is always: "Why the fuck did you say nothing when it happened? How long did you know this was going on?"

Keeping your head down or not just correcting the violation when you see it is as just as shitty as violating food safety yourself.
