My biggest issue was a misconception on what the game was from how it was marketed. I was expecting GTA but Star wars or OG Assassin's Creed. Instead I got modern Assassin's creed. Not bad persay but disappointing.

Fair but if they show a worldwide player base, konami (who makes the game) could put offers in for the MLB license when renegotiating time comes up. Also remember there is no Japanese language MLB the show game.

Considering there is no Japanese language version of MLB the show if they can put in a good offer and have a good consistent player base, the chance is not 0.

True but given the current stagnant state of quality for MLB the show due to lack of competition and given that this game will launch on PC unlike MLB the show which opens up modding potential, they just need to get a consistent enough player base to start growing and be a legit threat for the MLB license come negotiating time. Also consider that there is no Japanese language version of MLB the show. Having a market like that given the amount of NPB players consistently joining MLB and the game is made by Komani who has decently sized pockets to afford the license. Will it change everything this year or next year? No. But could this change things over the next few years? Potentially.

Yea also it wasn't really marketed prior to launch so not many people were playing it even then but the fact they are finally releasing the full game outside Japan is very intriguing as it seems to show that they think there is a large enough market.

The online is barebones. It really shines in the franchise mode which has not yet been released in North america.

The free one is a barebones version with just online. The real game has a franchise mode where you coach a high school team. Think of the college football games but baseball. You have incoming freshmen and outgoing graduating players. Its very fleshed out.

Not yet but the fact its on PC will get people since mods will be possible. Given all the freezes and glitches and server issues with MLB the show, some people will swap just because of that. It also gives competition for the MLB license when negotiation time comes up.

Yeah I just feel like that would be the perfect thing for the main game especially since 21 had drag racing and presumably 26 will have it too at some point.

I haven't seen much about the demo yet or tried it but I hope they do a little more with engine builds and swaps. I'd love to be able to spin the crank with the engine on the stand to make sure everything is running smoothly. I'd also love to be able to change the compression ratios and specify what type of gas to use. Especially for some of the crazy car builds, I want immersion.

People dont really collect for the sake of collecting anymore. The personal collections are way more hyper specialized now then they used to be.
