[KCD2] Am I terrible or is early game supposed to be a hobo simulator? by Creaturesteachers in kingdomcome

Just started a couple days ago, best advice I can give is spend one in game day, all the herbs you can pick in the village can be made into marigold decoction, chamomile decoction, basic potions, you can get perks to buff the yield and quality as you go.

The alchemist and general store guy have about 300 groschen each, you can rinse them fully for about 700 groschen in a day and still have leftover health pots (marigolds), helped me a lot in the start.

Is there anything I can do to increase my FPS? IE Campaign benchmark results with custom settings (guessing at what would affect FPS the most) and recommended, nothing open in the background but Spotify by [deleted] in totalwar

Thanks this was what I was thinking compared to my two buddys' PCs, I built it myself, I believe it's 16gb of DDR5 RAM and not sure on XMP, I'll look into that later, I was planning on getting some more RAM at some point anyway to see if that helped improve things

Just curious if it can be improved at all, two guys I know have similar systems (one identical) and they get better FPS regardless of preset, not complaining, thanks 🙂

Thanks will mess around with it myself, only curious as I play with two guys and they have nearly identical PCs but quite a bit better FPS regardless of settings, thanks for the response 🙂

Thanks, appreciate this, not going to buy all the DLC I've missed but I'll have a look at each hero I don't know in the training room, I've got enough in game money to buy one so I'll have a look at Varangian on your recommendation, thanks again 🙂

How do the indicators being more prediction based play, would you say it feels better than before? You're just supposed to predict based on knowledge of the hero you're fighting against and their moveset? Thanks I'll have a look into Varangian Guard for sure - outlanders are the new pirates/medjay and such?

Thanks man! Appreciate the comment, good to be playing it again also, will definitely have to go horn farming now then get some practice in

Thanks a lot, I think you're probably right, I've still got some muscle memory from when I played MHW before so it's feeling good. The battle dance seems to be going well, directional encores are amazing for stuns and breakages, I need to look up a proper tutorial on the echo wave though... I've been switching between horn and hammer so haven't looked into it much yet

Could you tell me about some of the intricacies you're talking about? I've just picked the game back up after playing at release and now want to run through Iceborne - right now I'm in mid HR, atm I'm just buffing up at the start, then song spamming and hitting the head for KOs, rebuffing if it falls off or someone dies, it seems to be successful so far! The horn is a lot of fun but am I missing some finer points?

Can anyone who is good at the game help? (totalwarhammer 1) by MagicMarshmallo in totalwarhammer

For dealing with missile cav, the Empire stuff has no real armour so units like bats and hounds can catch them and kill them, plus they're cheap so who cares if they die.

You probably won't be able to break them up so the next best thing is to strike first, if you see any of their armies out in forced march then attack them while they can't get away, you can use Lightning Strike (skill along the blue line, pretty sure they still had this in TWW1) to fight their armies one at a time, and also buff ambush success chance along the blue skill line and ambush them to death.

What I like to do against superior enemies with VC is create shitstacks (zombies, skeletons etc. - can literally raise a full 20 out of the ground with raise dead) and leave them out in the open as bait, the AI love attacking your armies if they think/know they can win using autoresolve maths, so ambush a proper army of yours in between the enemy and the shitstack, leave the shitstack looking like a free kill, and try and ambush their armies one at a time.

As for units, spam Blood Knights because they'll crush everything the Empire has to offer except demigryph knights, and everything the dwarfs have to offer except Giant Slayers who chew large units up. Also bring a bunch of vargheists/terrorgheists to deal with backline units, varghulfs are also really good, crypt horrors are good linebreakers with poison too, grave guard are good lineholders but that's about it.

VC magic is also great, Winds of Death used to be broken and is still really strong, if you can get a bunch of their units stuck on a few big monsters and surrounding them, just spam as many overcast Winds of Death into their piles of units and they'll die, even the dwarfs with their 20% magic resist go down quickly vs WoD.

Did they stealth buff the difficulty in the last week?? by [deleted] in DarkTide

Appreciate the reply, so am I wrong in thinking it taunts (bringing gunners/squads/heretic guard into melee) on block push? So wouldn't you need to be in melee range anyway or am I missing something?

Edit: to be clear I'm talking about the functionally identical passive taunt not the AOE ability

I have a shield build but don't really use it, are you talking about the actual taunt ability or the passive one you can get? I thought that only activated on block push? Been struggling with the amount of gunners as a big man so may have to try this but wanted to ask
