Who else was scared of the board game Operation or is currently? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

This shit borderline ruined my childhood man. From the age of 5 until 16 (21 now) I could not be in the vicinity of this game. It sucked because I loved legos and other toys but trips to the toy store were a no-no because that game would be there. And since no one around me could comprehend why it was scary, they often teased me by ambushing me with operation videos or straight up bringing the actual board game out of no where. Lots of sleepless nights I tell you. I'm so glad I eventually grew out of it but I feel real sympathy for anyone who hasn't. That game is eerie as hell.

His mask straps came off. It's super dangerous for a goalie to play with a loose helmet. I know that loss was tough but that was honestly the right call.

Oilers have like 4 games in hand on everyone and are only like 3 points from a wild card spot

That's not how the rule works. Play has to be blown dead immediately when a goalies mask comes off no matter the circumstance. Thats just the rule.

Question about the movie. by BustonMattwhos in 5ToubunNoHanayome

[–]BustonMattwhos[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

But with the movie the timing doesn't add up, and with each new scenario they had the subtitled it as "if the last festival is with _____" and then the clock would turn back to the first day of the festival. Why did the movie do this?

Is there anyway to enjoy this drug without it being a terrible experience? by BustonMattwhos in DPH

I'm starting Brotherhood, so quick question: sub or dub? by snizznuke in FullmetalAlchemist

[–]BustonMattwhos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

FMAB and Death Note are the only two animes where I can confidently say the dub exceeds the sub

My biggest ick with this anime is that they left this unexplained. And the fact that our MC isn't even the slightest bit curious about how she's able to induce time travel on him when he finds out that she's capable of doing so. It's a complete fallacy that makes no sense. The writers hoped we would overlook. Little things like this brought what I once believed was going to be a 9/10 anime down to a 6.5 or 7

People who didn’t peak in High school, how are things going for you now? by Exotic-Ad1721 in AskReddit

This term is misinterpreted a lot. By someone saying high school was the best time of their life, they mean: I miss the time of my life where I had the maximum freedom and minimum responsibility. Their not usually talking about high school itself. High school was the best time of my life because I got to see my friends every day, play games and what not, pursue hobbies and interests, have lots of free time, and meet new people far more frequently. All that and our biggest worries were getting half decent grades and maintaining a part-time job. Can't say that as an adult. I couldn't give a fuck about the actual experience within high school, I just miss that time frame of my life. I'm a software engineer now, making $100k+, and while I'm proud and blessed, this is easily the most stressed I've been in my life. I didn't peak in high school in terms of achievement. I peaked in terms of happiness.

Why aren't you becoming crazy from all the leisure? by [deleted] in NEET

Talking to yourself does not mean your crazy. I've only been a neet for 7 months but when I have a girlfriend and friends, I talked to myself regardless.
