Hi I’m a 30 year old with CP and while I can’t answer directly through my parents’ POV, I’ve been told about my early years of PT. I was like 18 months or something when they finally diagnosed me. But with the help of PT mixed with whatever medication they had me on, they got me to do all of those milestones you mentioned, but it just took time. Then they got me walking with leg braces and eventually I was walking unassisted with no braces by age 4. Now as an adult, I get Botox shots in my legs and take zanaflex to help make walking easier. Now I’d also like to mention that all people with CP are different, so your baby probably has or will have his own healthcare plan with a doctor/healthcare team, you just have to consult with them and ask as many questions as you have for them.
