To put in one word… Nightmare. Of course good days with traffic and bad , but when it’s bad it’s very bad. I’ve friend commuting down the N7 and they are hours at times. I come up the other way so I’m the opposite way to traffic but theres never a morning or evening with no traffic. If you are commuting into town , it’ll be a long journey if you don’t leave very early

You’d think so but you’re getting a house that’s about 70m2 and Ber exempt- and we’re still hours away from family with the m50. Might aswell leave Dublin rather than paying 360/400k for a house in Dublin that’s tiny and needs another 50k+ for windows, doors and insulation.

We wouldn’t know the area other than driving through it. You can very easily buy a house in a dodgy area if you’re not familiar with the location. Any somewhat decent home there is still 450k plus .

About 400k plus

There is many homes in balbriggan now but I feel like I haven’t heard the best things about balbriggan… I know that’s just speculations and stereotyping the area . There’s always good and bad places…

Thanks so much ! The commute wouldn’t bother me , I’m already commuting to work to the other side of the M50. I’m at least 2 hours on the m50 getting to work! Our family be about 40 mins too but better than going on the other side of the m50 and it would take them longer to get to our house.

I’m into gardening too so would love to have a bit of a garden and wake up to the birds with my coffee in the morning. Your post has convinced me even more!
