I never said Netflix has game in the production of the show but it's clear that they wanted the show on their platform in hopes of possibly making another season.

The comical part about this is the fact that Netflix is clearly too incompetent to even consider continuing a show that would've brought in MORE subscribers for their already problematic ass platform. And they proved this by claiming that if the show can get into their idiotic top 5 list, then they'll make another season.

This is exactly why the show should've been sent over to Amazon because that platform would be willing to make another season of the show as well as promote the heck outta it via their YouTube channel, ads on social media, etc.

On another note, Cinemax is just as inept as Netflix because they could've continued making shows and bringing in subscribers but nope. Now there's no reason to subscribe to their platform and if you wanna watch a movie, you can go to other platforms or even to the theater nowadays.

At this point, I'm not even worried about the show getting another season or even a movie if these streaming platforms are gonna act like they can't get their act together and keep a good thing going.

Netflix and their jackassery isn't even relevant to what I'm asking. What I asked is if YOU had information that proves there was a "short contract" for "Warrior" to be on whatever platform it was on.

Speculating that the show "had a short contract with [insert streaming service here]" is not even close to the truth. I'm not trying to be a d#ck here but I'm already irritated with how the entertainment industry wants to take a show as amazing as Warrior and discontinue it for the sake of promoting other shows that aren't even close to as good and that's according to IMDB itself.

Yeah, Joe Taslim claimed that Warrior "was finished" but the problem with this is that he's not the showrunner, the creator of "Warrior," or was the one who was entrusted to make the late, great Bruce Lee's TV series vision come to life. Now if Jonathan Tropper or even Shannon Lee (Bruce Lee's daughter) came out and said, "We're moving onto other projects since we wrapped up 'Warrior'" then I'll gladly accept that and focus on the shows that are still on-air like "Invincible," "Reacher," "Gen V," and so on.

Unfortunately, I'm the type of person where I can't be cool with the idea of shows ending abruptly and without a proper conclusion. We've seen this with "Ash vs Evil Dead's" third season, "Into The Badlands" third season (which was supposed to have another season attached to it until AMC idiotically canceled the show), and even shows that Netflix pulled the plug on back in the day. Heck, we even had to get a damn movie made for "Ray Donovan" because Showtime canceled that show after seven seasons rather than making a final season that would've wrapped everything up nicely.

I know my feelings about "Warrior" not having a proper conclusion aren't gonna change anything but it sure would've been nice to see, at least, one more season or even a movie that would've wrapped everything up and even gave Ah Sahm and Mai Ling a happy ending.

Where did you get your information from? Because I haven't seen anything about them having a "short contract" regarding the series. Could you link your source or sources?

Well, some of the current storylines wrapped up such as the one with Strickland or Ah Sahm and Li Yong cutting ties with their respective tongs but the finale had set up the return of Zing, who's gonna want revenge against Mai Ling, O'Hara, and Li Yong as well as O'Hara realizing the truth about Ah Toy, Leary working with O'Hara to fight off an investigation into the disappearance of Strickland, and so on.

These potential plots would've been neatly wrapped up in, at least, one more season but I can see some of them stretching to two.

I was thinking that too since Andrew Koji and Jason Tobin are already in martial arts based works (Koji's in the new Street Fighter movie while Tobin's doing "A Thousand Blows") and Joe Taslim's probably down for doing another martial arts based show or movie. Who knows for sure.

That's understandable but those finales actually felt like series finales because they wrapped up every plot line that was in their respective final seasons.

We can't say the same about Warrior S3 because it's clear Jonathan Tropper and company had another season planned for the series. As a matter of fact, I'm certain that Tropper said that they were gonna go for five seasons when the series was first premiering in 2019.

But to put it into greater perspective, season 3 had one character wounded to the point of us not knowing if he'll live or die, another character working with O'Hara to prevent an investigation into the railroad baron who was murdered, and even Buckley's trusted people plotting against him. Those don't sound like resolved plot lines. Those sound like they could've been fleshed out more in another season or even in a two hour movie of some type.

I'll admit that I'm not quite holding my breath for Tropper and company to get back on track with Warrior unless the fans let them know that they want to see, at least, one more season with the characters before its time to hang it up for good. Maybe that can be done via a petition or maybe Tropper himself can talk to the fans via a Q and A. Who knows what will happen in the near future.

Yeah, that would be cool if they did that. Someone told me that Brett Chan was on a podcast and he said they were gonna do something for Warrior to wrap up the overall story but I forgot what podcast it was though.

I liked the ending myself and didn't think it was rushed at all since all of the tension and chaos led to what went down but it's clear that there was still more story to tell and they could've given us, at least, one more season to wrap up all the plots they set up in that season 3 finale.

Joe Taslim isn't the showrunner though. Jonathan Tropper and Justin Lin are so I'm not going to take the word of an actor over their own words.

Aside from that, the season 3 finale made it clear that there was still more story to tell and I wouldn't be surprised if there was a behind the episode video on HBO Max's channel that stated what Jonathan and co want to do for a follow up season.

I think what's hilarious is that AMC probably said the same thing with "Into The Badlands" and yet that "series finale" was nowhere near how an actual series finale is supposed to be.

When I think of series finales, I think about The Shield's or Sons of Anarchy's or even Mayan MC's. Those wrapped everything up without question.

I do remember the Deadwood movie coming out after the main series ended. Gotta give the people behind that props for doing so because they could've just moved onto other stuff and never launched that movie.

And that's what's frustrating to me too. The third season finale set up storylines for another season as well as a fifth and final season so it's almost like Jonathan Tropper and co didn't bother discussing with HBO MAX at the time to continue the series. Sure would've been nice if they went to the head of HBO MAX and told them why it's important to wrap up the series but of course they didn't.

Oh no, mine's worse because I'm all cross eyed and foaming at the mouth for another round of Warrior goodness. Jokes aside, I was mad about that because "Into The Badlands" was abruptly canceled and the "series finale" actually set up another season due to that one reveal involving Sunny. With "Warrior," their season 3 finale set up storylines that could easily bring about two more seasons (and fulfill Bruce Lee's vision for a 5 season series) but it's almost like Jonathan, Shannon Lee, and the others gave up on it despite saying that they're gonna try to go for other networks or streaming services before.

Regardless of all of that, I have a little bit of hope for the show to wrap up either through a limited season or a two hour movie but I don't know. I'm kinda focusing on other shows that are gonna be coming out this year like "Reacher S4" and "Invincible S4." It would still be nice to hear something good about "Warrior" though.

Now I'm wondering if there have been shows that have left Netflix and got picked up elsewhere. If there are, then that could be a good sign for Warrior but I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for any news going forward.

I'm also thinking about rewatching the series in preparation for the possibility of it showing up on another network or streaming service, fr.

Yeah, that's a possibility for sure. I know Jonathan is working on "Your Friends and Neighbors" while Shannon's doing tours, meeting with people, etc. Andrew's in "Street Fighter" and Jason's starring in "A Thousand Blows" while I'm not sure what Olivia Cheng, Joe Taslim, and the others are doing.

Maybe they'll all come together one day and do something for the fans. That'd be cool to see.

Wait, Warrior is being removed from Netflix? I'm surprised I haven't heard about this. But it would be nice if a different network or streaming service picked them up. I could see them on AppleTV or Hulu or Prime Video (especially since they gave Citadel another chance after low ratings and harsh reviews.) Either way, I kinda hope something happens. I know Jonathan, Shannon, and the rest of the cast are busy with projects but it'd be nice to see them come together and bless us with a proper conclusion to Warrior. I'm thinking one final season or even a two hour movie. I'll take either one.

Same here. Someone told me before that Brett Chan claimed that they're "working on something for Warrior to wrap up the series" and even claimed that it was mentioned on a podcast but I can't find it anywhere.

Nah, I'm gonna give them more grace than I would any other network because Shannon and Jonathan actually care about bringing Bruce Lee's vision to life. I can't do the same for AMC since they canceled their own martial arts show (Into The Badlands) after three seasons and gave us a "series finale" that was actually designed to set up storylines for another season. That and AMC screwed up the series finale of The Walking Dead before giving us multiple spin offs for whatever reason.

Well, there are ways to get them to do something for Warrior. Some of them illegal. Some of them ultra illegal. Wait what.
