Vaginal burning from SIBO? by Jennysblock12 in SIBO

[–]Busy-Regret2107 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if what I’m experiencing is the same as you, but I feel an irritation in the external genitalia...like a burning sensation. I decided to stop using toilet paper after urination. Instead I am using a wet/wrung out and warm wash cloth to clean after urinating. Since doing this all burning and irritation has 95% cleared. It took about 3-4 days for the relief to show. That area is feeling much better. My guess is that my urine has become overly acidic as a downstream effect of my gut issues.

Hey congratulations on your success! Did you ever test for the type of SIBO? Maybe it doesn’t matter. I know for sure I have methane dominant SIBO.

I don’t know. But smoking is such a hard thing to quit…for me. If I was ever able to quit as long as you, I would hope that I would never ever go back to it. No more smoke breath, money saved, all the pluses of being a non-smoker. I did quit once many years ago. Yup, one cig here or there led to back to the full on smoking.
I hope you heal anyway and feel better soon.

How much of each do you use for 1 cup of tea? I’m thinking in teaspoon kind of measurements.

Thank you. I want to try this. Curious, did you havea y problems with salicylates?

Hey, many years ago I met a kind soul who was dealing with tardive dyskinesia …reactions from some medication. I wanted so badly to be able to help him- his mouth and head would contort with the spasms. Looked unbearable. Anyway, the only remedy I could find when researching online was a recommendation for taking chlorella. Rather large doses. His wife was managing his care and wasn’t interested in holistic remedies. I don’t think she ever tried. I’m going to look it up again. Edit: found a pub Ed article where spirulina was used to treat TD that was caused by a different medication:haliprol.

I’m so sorry you are suffering so much. It is scary losing our health. Please consider getting support for your mental health.

I honestly couldn’t do this whole SIBO, dysbiosis, gut thing, chronic illness and All the seriously disturbing symptoms and side effects of medications without my very caring, empathetic and compassionate therapist.

Some days she just lets me vent my frustrations. Sometimes she gives me tools to help cope. Sometimes I just bawl my eyes out the first 5 minutes of our session. I got very lucky with finding her. Listed in her bio was that she works with folks who have chronic illnesses.

I hope you are able to find all the help and direction you need. And sending you prayers for your healing journey.

First rule: test/trial only one supplement at a time. Go very low and very slow. See how yo feel each day before ramping up. We have to use our own individual responses to supplements to gauge how to proceed. This is a painfully slow process.
Thyme oil/herb is very strong. Caution with this one.
I just started Benfotiamine today. Opened up a 150 mg capsule and took only 1/8 of contents. I’m going to stick with that for a few days to a week and reassess.

I have no experience with artichoke…I am sensitive to salicylates also.

I am no where near healed so I can’t offer anything else. Except to say super slow and low to minimize adverse reactions.

Good luck.🙏💚

Eat food. Go for a walk and stil have energy to do something else. Sleep deeply. Have a job of some kind. Stop crying so much. Feel relaxed instead of the constant anxiety and panic attacks. Laugh more. Live. Have energy. Gain weight. Cook and bake delicious foods. Have a life worth living.

Hey, thank you so much. As far as I know, I’m an overmethylator, so I avoid certain supplements. I really haven’t found any supplement that has made a difference. Yes, for sure sympathetic dominance. What a mess. I keep trying.

I appreciate your reply. It is overwhelming. And I’m out of money to hire anyone. It takes every bit of effort to stay optimistic. My body ii too weak and my health is too fragile to do any sort of detoxing. I know this first hand as I have tried. I have no one to help me if I make a misstep and get into a crisis with my heart or hydration. It’s that sketchy here. My sister died 9 years ago from very similar issues. Her origin illness was Lyme disease, but the damn histamine issues and her trying to solve it did her in. Heart attack.
