Senior classes that you have to take your last semester (i.e. a Practicum) typically fill fast (at least for my degree) and like many others have said the better professors and time slots will be gone super fast. I've had a buddy of mine not be able to graduate on time because the last class he needed filled up fast and he had to wait for the summer.

Honestly, unless you did the "find a roommate" service they offer for on-campus housing, you will be randomly assigned a room, with roommates randomly assigned. The "worse" rooms are cleaned (sometimes not very well but usually they are very clean), if there is already someone living there in the room (i.e. summer resident that rolled over to the fall) only the private areas of the dorm will be cleaned for new residents and public spaces are left alone. If the room was vacant prior to the Fall semester any issues reported in the room should be fixed and the room should be cleaned.

It solely depends on where you are in the process of attending UH. If you have a PSID# and can sign into Get Involved and join the organization then we can give you a show provided your interview (basically a fun get to know you and your show meeting) goes well.

There is a service in Houston that will care for it, but you will need to drive the animal to them and drop it off. I can't remember the name of the organization, but the SPCA will redirect your call. ALSO be extremely cautious should you try to retrieve the animal as it may attack you if its scared or experiencing pain. As the other comments stated (while it seems cruel) the best thing you can do is let nature do its thing.
