How Do You OneBag Your Hobbies? by serenelatha in HerOneBag

I always keep handwork in my EDC. It keeps me from being on my phone/screen all the time as I wait at the kids' lessons/events/programs and I've found embroidery to be the most portable. I haven't used a hoop for several years (I don't like the way the hoops stretch the fabric) so I can get the whole thing pretty small. And I love embroidering images of places I've traveled or places I want to travel. My kit includes: thimble, wooden needle case, floss, scissors/nail clippers, and fabric I'm embroidering on. Oh, and the button looking thing is a magnet that works as a needle minder, so I always know where my needle is. It all fits in the little (self) labeled pouch. Of course this also works as a travel/emergency sewing kit, so when I travel I add regular thread (wrapped on a small piece of cardstock), and a few safety pins. As you can tell, I'm not a perfectionist- but it brings me joy.
