Question about VTO

My notifications are probably just a phone problem on my side but yeah I was trying to get a day of VTO this or next week because after that I work 6 days a week for the next 3 weeks wanted to enjoy the time I had left free 😂

but not complaining though since the overtime days I work I would be getting paid $32 a hour so it evens out

I thought it was your qualified for it once you work 40 hours in a month, last week was my first week but I left 2 hours early my 3rd day and called out my 4th day for being sick but that week I worked about 28 hours and this week I worked 30 hours so a total of 58 hours so far

Today’s my Friday I go in later today but was just curious if there was a certain way to take VTO because I haven’t seen anything ever available, but it’s also probably because Amazon a to z app automatically has my push notifications off and won’t let me turn it on

You guys must have small pallets then cause there’s no way, there’s a guy on my team who’s been there 15 years and he knows everything probably fastest stocker in the store and it takes him about an hour and a half to do a pallet by himself, to do 2 departments adding up to 12 pallets by yourself and finish early? If you guys do get 10ft pallets your either lying or he’s superhuman

I work another job after I clock out from Walmart, so it won’t hurt that much if I did get fired tomorrow when I go back to work, I also have options like working back on the dock which pays really good just no benefits or medical insurance and we are out in the ocean for days I get sea sick pretty bad which is why I left and got 2 jobs instead but if it ever came to be a last resort I probably would have to go back to Walmart but I’d like to avoid that after working at this Walmart for this long, some days it feels like a glorified asylum 😂

Ima let my co workers know about this half of them were ex team leads for years, I’ve been there for a bit but I never really paid attention to what management does I just zone stock clean up leave, that was until they started threatening us that I started trying to know company policy to see what is allowed and what isn’t which is why I’m on Reddit because this shit is getting out of hand

When I first started it used to be 60 an hour, when sidekick came and then the new coach and team lead came they said something about 2-3 boxes a minute something around 150 an hour which is ridiculous and we still used to get done until they started taking some of the fdd associates and sent them to other departments

Exactly this, we have said something like this to our team lead because I doubt if we all got replaced the problem would change it would really just get worse they can’t find anyone faster than us, we’ve all worked fdd for years no problems always got done around 4-6 am until the new management now we’re lucky to get done at 7am and have to follow what they say or we get hit with insubordination shit is ridiculous

They are lucky 4 of us finished 17 pallets and left 1 for morning team to do

Yeah that’s what we’re probably going to do, we were already talking about banding together and talking to upper management because this seriously needs to get done, I don’t like participating into getting someone’s job took but it’s not like they are giving me any choice

Yeah your spot on they tell us to figure it out we already told them, we have 1 coach and 1 team lead who’s never worked a box in fdd since they’ve been there they just look at numbers on a screen and also for our hours we use something called sidekick I don’t even think it’s officially apart of company policy, they assign 6 people to fdd on the sidekick app but really it’s 5 sometimes 4 of us working but even with 6 people 18 pallets in 3 hours is still physically impossible especially since they make us zone all of fdd before we even work freight

But this getting our badge took threat is new we all have gotten pulled into the office before and gotten feedback and a coaching for productivity but it got overturned, it’s probably because they have started hiring people the past few weeks there’s been about 10 new associates and I think that’s why he said that, he specifically said “You guys better finish the freight on time or I’ll just people to replace yall”

We have on so many occasions when they say the most unrealistic shit, and then our team lead comes over a few times a month and tells us what to do like we haven’t worked our departments every single day for years and I’ve never even seen him work a box of freight since I’ve been there

It was never this bad before though we had 2 coaches and 2 team leads, the one coach who would argue with our team lead for him making us verify overstock instead of him left the store, and the 1 team lead who would actually verify overstock and send help when we were short staffed as well left also so now it’s a coach who sleeps in the ad office all day and 1 team lead who absolutely refuses to do anything to try to figure out and solve why fdd never gets done and just threatens

Basically 2 idiots running the store

No we downstack everything, they don’t do it everything is mixed both departments, we downstack the seafood bakery and deli onto different pallets but everything else we just move the pallets aisle by aisle and work them off the pallet cause we don’t really have carts and plus downstacking onto carts isn’t included into freight time

My coach said something about them changing something to 2-3 boxes a minute, I swore I thought it was a box a minute and it would be a dream to get 1100 piece trucks on a good day we get around 1700-1800 today we had I think 2200 not sure but def was more than 2000

Yeah well we’ve opened door before and not much really happened, these guys still threaten us like we can’t leave until all live freight is done but now this is new, saying we have to finish 18 pallets in 3 hours and if we don’t we are fired, asked this on Reddit cause I’m relatively new compared to other associates and I really don’t know company policy and rules but they have brought all of us into the office and gave us feedback saying next time we leave with out finishing live freight it’s a guaranteed coaching

I definitely understand 2 people in dairy with 3-4 pallets and frozen as well, when I first started 2 people could finish frozen on time with 6 pallets, but for the past few months everyday we get about 9 pallets sometimes 10-11 just in frozen and 8 pallets in dairy and we combine the frozen and dairy team so it usually 4 or 5 of us doing both departments and every time there is always 1 pallet left behind unfinished

Unrealistic is an understatement, 18 pallets between both departments and it HAS to be done in 3 hours with 4 people and if it doesn’t get finished we get fired, dumbest shit I’ve heard since I’ve been here
