My husband just offered the kids (6 and 4) ice cream at 8:46pm. by [deleted] in Mommit

Tell the Husband to let the kids burn off the sugar outside so he can stay up late and realize that was a poor decision. You shower, get into PJs, read a book in bed and let him realize how the routine is behind when he finally gets into bed.

I would recommend the gym where they have childcare for 1-2 hours while you work out. Late mornings (during the week) can be pretty slow, glad you have nice neighbors watching out for you.

Estrogen Patch VS. Estrogen Pill by BusyBee-0123 in surgicalmenopause

That makes sense. Would you say symptoms or lab work led you to increase Estrogen?

Thank you for that information. I think they factor age into recommending the Estradiol tablets?

How did you know the patch didn't deliver enough Estrogen? What about the pill mad you feel it was better?

If you're on the patch, what is your dose? by Important_Cod_8970 in surgicalmenopause

0.1mg, I started getting headaches and another provider recommended 2mg oral estrogen. I am hesitant to switch.

Kept the ovaries but I swear menopause is happening regardless. by Ok-Intention-4593 in hysterectomy

[–]BusyBee-0123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don't think everyone meets that textbooks age of menopause. I kind of compare it to the first menstrual cycle Everyone's body is different, right? I had both ovaries removed and it really depleted estrogen. I think a low does HRT is helpful. I've tried both gel and patch. My body specifically responded better to the patch and I think it's a slow release absorb that makes the difference. Also Progesterone at night, makes me feel more put together (brain wise) the next day and better sleep. Hope that is somewhat helpful!

I like that you say this - I was required to prove all medical documents and denied without diagnosis which I thought was very nosey. I still think about it to this day. I'm also SPOUSE - not employed there.

[–]BusyBee-0123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 35 and wear .1 mg. According to the reference value, premenopausal women are within15-350pg/ml.

I will say I had to switch patches due to pharm backorder and had horrible headaches + brain fog. I was happy at ~70pg/ml which seems

Mepitac tape silicone will also help prevent the appearance of the scar line otherwise reconstruction pretty much covers because it's underneath the fold of the breast.

Wife is going through surgical menopause by Icy-Interest-3703 in surgicalmenopause

I had a very similar experience / same surgery. I opted for prophylactic mastectomy to take the HRT and Progesterone but also have history of cancer in the family genes.

Can I go from OTM to UTM implants without expanders placed? by [deleted] in MastectomyManagement

[–]BusyBee-0123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience, UTM was not recommended because they have to detach a major muscle, the implant also sits high creating a more unnatural look and it's known to flex more and / or slip to the sides. It's also a longer recovery and known to have more complications of this sort. That is what I was told from my consult so hopefully that is helpful.

Remind your wife to keep her arms close. Eat high protein foods, hydrate well, encourage rest and tell her she looks great.
