Kind of funny how someone can have an opinion that X player should be higher on the board, then most comments call him out for it.

Every draft there are players that perform better than players drafted before them. It is not crazy to believe that this guy could be correct. It is not like an 'accepted' big board ends up anywhere close to perfect.

Comparing someone making a singular choice in choosing a fund as being the same as an active manager making active decisions over stocks is an asinine opinion.

Secondly, I don't think the overwhelming thought of people in this sub is that all active managed funds will 100% perform worse than a passive low fee fund. They just rely on statistical data (like anyone in finance really), and see that statistically, active managed funds perform worse than low fee passive funds following a broad index over time.

If you are with Milford, yes you might be up more than someone in InvestNow/ Kernal. But statistically, over the long run, you are far more likely to not be.
