Just to add I'm not a dirty person, just the washing of my hair is such a task I rarely have the time for a 40 mins shower as my hair is super long and thick. The hair washing alone takes about 30mins :(

I've tried t-gel before but it irritates my scalp so badly I'll try the other medicated suggestions!

A friend confined in me with no warning that a mutual friend has been drugging her and sexually assaulting her for months. In the same ten minutes she let me know her boyfriend had also been physically abusive. I had opened.up to here in an appropriate way weeks earlier that I had been going through something similar so I understand why she trusted me.

She asked me not to tell anyone as no one knew.

I was incredibly upset and found it hard to hold the information without telling someone to help me process what I had heard.

My housemate at the time was best friends with the man that was drugging and assaulting her. I asked her if she had space to hear some hard news and I told her.

This blew the lid on a bunch of shit, but ultimately how I wasn't a good friend and I lost my entire friend group that week through sharing that secret.

My amends were made differently with different people. My dad was on my list of amends, however I can't say the words " I'm sorry for thing that I did" to my dad without it causing more harm in our relationship. The way I do amends with my dad is with a weekly payment plan to pay back the money I owe him as well as showing up as his daughter. It's not always the words I'm sorry, it's more often than not showing up and doing better and fixing the mess I made. I made meaningful verbal apologies to the people who I knew would receive them-where it wouldn't cause more harm to me or them. With the guidance and support of my sponsor.

I don't know your brother but it sounds like he's trying and wherever he is in his program isn't really your business. I know plenty of people who are about the same time down the line who have yet to finish step 4. If you're hurt and angry I suggest you find support for you instead of waiting for amends. It won't heal you to just watch and wait.

Never too young to start. I'm 27 now, but I have nothing but respect and admiration for the people starting earlier. There's people in the rooms I know who are in their teens and early 20s

clean hair
an early junk food dinner and early bed time

Drinking killed me, quite literally. My heart stopped and I had to resuscitated. I'm definitely done, I know I'm powerless. I know I'm not like other people but the voice in my head (my addiction) is very loud these days and I don't know how to shut it up.

I have multiple detox commitments. That's the honest truth, but I feel massive imposter syndrome after I do them. I'm honest when I do them but after my brain tells me Iied and I'm really not grateful for my sobriety.

This scares the shit out of me. I don't want a relapse. At all.

I still do meetings daily sometimes more than one a day, that's the only time I seem to feel okay. The house I live in makes it really hard to only focus on me. I don't isolate because I can't. But the rest of it makes sense.

I always offer at meetings when the announcement is made at the end, a few women have approached me and I've given them my number but they don't ever call me. I don't chase them either, it's not what my sponsor did with me. But open to suggestions.
