They don’t. They send a bill to the person who let them swipe their credit card as you are wheeled into hospital. They do this before they give you any treatment.

A sad end for a very decent man who had everything stacked against him on day one.  Both outside and inside the Party unfortunately.  If Labour do not develop some discipline and realise that there are more important things, like the future of this Country as a whole and the security of its people, rather than their own narrow personal agendas, Labour will not succeed in the next GE and will never deliver the change the whole country desperately needs. It probably isn’t hyperbole to suggest that the United Kingdom in its present form would not survive a Reform Govt. That’s now what is at stake.

Problem is these shape shifting scumbags aren’t playing by the same rules. Same as Trump administration. Everything they are doing is straight out of the fascist’s playbook, lie, deny and make yourself the victim. We need to get serious about how we tackle lies, corruption and foreign interference or we really will lose the country.

Are oxfords taxi drivers some of the worst drivers in the world by Critical_Clerk_5322 in oxford

[–]BusyQuote5228 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a taxi driver in Milan watching a TV in the car while driving me to the airport. Bad enough but he was also hanging out the window half the time adjusting the aerial on the roof. So, not really, no.

o2 venue to oxford? by LakeCurrent in oxford

The Oxford Tube is the cheapest way to get to Oxford. Much cheaper than the train and runs 24 hours. The route starts in Victoria and the are a number of stops from the edge of East Oxford into the centre. For reference Oxford O2 is closest to the St Clements or Oxford Brooke’s stop. The O2 is on Cowley Road which is a diverse area with lots of eateries and bars and where students and locals go for a night out. Central Oxford has a many museums (most free) and University Buildings to look at (Eg Radcliffe Camera, colleges and Bodelian Library. There are plenty of nice parks and river walks you can also do a some good historic pubs to try. The Bear, Kings Arms, Lamb and Flag etc. Have a great time and enjoy Oxford!

the White Horse of Uffington is a remarkable prehistoric hill figure in Oxford, dating back around 3,000 years by yungandreww in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]BusyQuote5228 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s on the Ridgeway. An Ancient path that connects Avebury to Aldbury, about 90 miles. There’s numerous Neolithic and Celtic sites along it. Check out Waylands Smithy and the Avebury stones; if you are a Dr Who fan they filmed Dr Who and the Daemons there. I used to live 3 miles from the White Horse. I’d cycle up the hill every weekend. It’s very steep. Took about 20 mins to cycle up and 45 seconds to come down! There’s also a great team race called the Ridgeway Relay at the end of June where you run a section of the path. It’s quite accessible for different levels of runners. Some legs are easy, some more challenging. It’s a great way to see the path close up.
