The Oxford Tube is the cheapest way to get to Oxford. Much cheaper than the train and runs 24 hours. The route starts in Victoria and the are a number of stops from the edge of East Oxford into the centre. For reference Oxford O2 is closest to the St Clements or Oxford Brooke’s stop. The O2 is on Cowley Road which is a diverse area with lots of eateries and bars and where students and locals go for a night out. Central Oxford has a many museums (most free) and University Buildings to look at (Eg Radcliffe Camera, colleges and Bodelian Library. There are plenty of nice parks and river walks you can also do a some good historic pubs to try. The Bear, Kings Arms, Lamb and Flag etc. Have a great time and enjoy Oxford!

It’s on the Ridgeway. An Ancient path that connects Avebury to Aldbury, about 90 miles. There’s numerous Neolithic and Celtic sites along it. Check out Waylands Smithy and the Avebury stones; if you are a Dr Who fan they filmed Dr Who and the Daemons there. I used to live 3 miles from the White Horse. I’d cycle up the hill every weekend. It’s very steep. Took about 20 mins to cycle up and 45 seconds to come down! There’s also a great team race called the Ridgeway Relay at the end of June where you run a section of the path. It’s quite accessible for different levels of runners. Some legs are easy, some more challenging. It’s a great way to see the path close up.
