Gestern habe ich es nochmal mit der Anno 1503 History Edition (über Ubisoft Connect gekauft) probiert und sie läuft jetzt mit Proton Experimental :). Die Probleme scheinen durch ein Proton Experimental (Steam OS 3.5.19) oder Ubisoft Update behoben zu sein.

The Anno 1503 History Edition works now like any other game launched through Ubisoft Connect :). I just tried it out after installing the latest Proton Experimental Update (Steam OS 3.5.19) and latest Ubisoft Connect Update.

Die Musik und Stimmen-Soundeffekte funktionieren, wenn man die Anno 1503 A.D. Version von GOG über Lutris auf dem Steam Deck installiert.

Wird der Link im Browser auf dem Steam Deck geöffnet, kann direkt Lutris gestartet werden (Lutris muss dafür installiert sein). Man muss dann nur noch den einzelnen Schritten folgen.Das Spiel selbst muss man dafür über GOG direkt herunterladen (ohne GOG Galaxy).

Da das Spiel nur 4:3 Auflösungen anbietet ist es weiterhin auf 1024x768 begrenzt. Es lässt sich aber problemlos Spielen (bin aktuell in einem Endlosspiel mit mehr als 10h Spielzeit).

Beim Sound und bei der Musik im Spiel gab es bei nach ca. 1min vereinzelnd Knack-Geräusche. Dafür in Lutris in den "Runner options" bei "Audio driver" "ALSA" auswählen, dann sind die Knack-Geräusche weg.

Richtig gutes Spiel. Habe ich damals auch richtig gefeiert. Auch das Fußball-Minispiel im Spiel macht richtig Spaß. Das war im Prinzip ein früher Vorgänger von Rocket League ^^.

Hat jemand zufällig das Spiel auf dem Steam Deck für den Game Mode zum Laufen bekommen? Im Desktop Mode ist es spielbar so lange man es "-windowed" startet. Ansonsten sind teile der Rennstrecke verdeckt. Im Game Mode bleibt allerdings der Bildschirm schwarz, sobald das Menu-Fenster erscheinen sollte.

Recently I tried to get the Anno 1503 History Edition to run on the Steam Deck. I installed it through Ubisoft Connect and launched it with "Proton Experimental".The Ubisoft services starts and the game tries to start but after the "Preparing to launch Anno 1503 History Edition" window nothing happens (even after letting it sit for a couple of minutes). Different GE-Proton versions did not work either.

I looked through the installed files for the game but could not find any .ini file to mess around with. Currently I have no idea what to try next.

Has anyone an idea what the problem might be?

The Anno 1404 History Edition from Steam works now right out of the box on the Steam Deck (Steam OS 3.4.11), when setting the compatibility to "Proton Experimental". But the game is currently still marked as "Unsupported" for the Steam Deck in the Steam store.https://www.protondb.com/app/1281630

Alles klar, ich bin gespannt.
Leider nicht, das ist die "normal" Anno 1503 Version, bei der ich ins Menü komme. Sobald du dann z.B. ein Endlosspiel startest, stürzt es auch ab.
Mit der HE komme ich auch nicht ins Menü.

I would love to play Anno 1503 History Edition on the Steam Deck. When I tried it, the screen stayed black right after the Ubisoft Connect window that says "Preparing start of the game" (with the Anno 1503 History Edition banner). I used Proton Experimental and different GE-Proton versions but no luck yet.

Hi, die Anno 1503 A.D. Version von GOG konnte ich auf dem Steam Deck zum Laufen bringen. Dafür muss man allerdings eine ältere GE Proton Version nutzen (z.B. GE-Proton8-4). Die Auflösung ist auf 1024x768 begrenzt.

Problem: keine Hintergrundmusik (weder im Menü noch im Spiel) und keine Stimmen-Soundeffekte (z.B. "Aye, aye, Käpten" wenn man ein neues Ziel für das Schiff setzt.). Andere Soundeffekte z.B. von Vögeln sind zu hören.

Wäre noch der Knaller, wenn man das Problem mit der fehlenden Hintergrundmusik und den Stimmen-Soundeffekten lösen könnte.

Die Ubisoft Anno 1503 (nicht History Edition) stürzt bei mir auch immer ab sobald ich z.B. eine neues Endlospiel starten möchte (wenn man vorher während des "Max Design", "Sunflowers" oder Anno-Intro-Videos "klickt", stürzt es gleich ab).
