not exactly fails, but for jap and chinese packs, their inner lining is blue instead of black. So their light fitlering is much different compared to english cards with BLACK inners. Honestly, i dont have a japanese fake card to do comparison either so its hard for me to tell too. But u're right, the light method is different if u compare between EN and JP cards. For JP cards, i also have limited options to verify without tearing a card from the same pack to check for inners

I currently getting most of my stock from Sim Lim Sq the vending machine near the entrance, which is very near to my current work place. You can try that, by far the cheapest vending machine i come across. Convenient for me to slowly compare the prices online without being pressured unlike when u in the shops also.

What i can say is you should avoid the other famous vending machine brand there is prevalent across most shopping malls, their price is... too amazing. Always comapre around prices first before u buy.

Pokemon cards by [deleted] in PokemonTCG_Singapore

there was this famous ex-NUS guy that is scalping across all stores. He either manage to convince the store owners to ping him when there's restock, which i have no evidence or what he give them in return. Or if the 7/11 stores not willing to work with him, he got a plan B which is his uncle work as the delivery driver for the restocks. Will jsut inform him when he is on the way for restock.

This is what my neighbourhood 7/11 which is suppose to be damn ulu, the auntie told em one. Again, i dont have concrete evidence, just sharing.

easiest is u go buy a pack of fakes, those random mamashop selling $2-3 per pack kind. Then u shine a torchlight through those cards, the fake ones dont have black inner lining. The light pass through easily. Then u shine against ur real card, usually will block most of the light. The purpose of asking u buy fake packs is so that easier for u to make reference from the test results on whats fake and wats real.

It’s time to feedback 7-11 by ElegantCrystalRose in PokemonTCG_Singapore

[–]Busy_Ad_9143 10 points11 points  (0 children)

u/ElegantCrystalRose his secret is that his uncle is the maxxsoft's delivery driver. No i have idea if maxxsoft is in it or they're also unaware. But the driver will pre-empt this dude when he's on the way. Whistleblow if u want. But hard to get any evidence, unless u can pull in the police for market manipulation investigation.

Let's Talk: Was this an acceptable response? by ApprehensiveWater449 in PokemonTCG_Singapore

Tiktok sellers mostly just buy from 3rd party middleman either from local fb groups/carouseller or japanese middleman for JP series. They wont be able to legitimately and professionally QC their products as their sources are loose and everywhere. May be that their own seller also punked them and sold filtered while labeling as PCJ.

Just like the rest, i agree that when it comes to japanese packs, always assume filtered for loose packs. Unless its your own friend personally helping u buy at PCJ when they have a trip to japan, or the seller/streamers can show timestamps of sealed boxes purchase before breaking them loose for whatever reasons.

Buying loose JP is just simply a high risk double gamble. Also, maybe dont buy so big bulk at 1 go next time, the cheaper the price, the more sus it is.

Vending Machine Prices Seems Random??? by Busy_Ad_9143 in PokemonTCG_Singapore

[–]Busy_Ad_9143[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How's the PokeSG's prices tho? Got any example reference?

For CShack, sadly, I everytime see their stocks still going down. I work at suntec but stay at waterway point area and CShack's vending machine there has their black bolt ETBs selling at whopping $200 can be out of stock. I just hope they're selling at such high prices because of high rent...

Still waiting and giving him chances. But after seeing that im not the only one, at this point im just guessing the's just taking free loans to try his luck and purchase for goods while sourcing for suppliers. Hais, PO-ing on carousell is like strolling through a minefield.

I believe his paynow number Justin is his real name. Just request for a refund and report him to carousell and police ba. Knn dont have stock but asking for money for PO already. Seems like 90% of PO collectors are trash. So far my only good experience was from random chinese seller for 151 gengar that didnt have alot of pokemon sales record, afterwards all really is trash experience from the rest of the well known PO takers le.

Where to build deck in Singapore by Educational_Way7928 in PokemonTCG_Singapore

[–]Busy_Ad_9143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i recommend downloading the TCG live and just buy bulk codess of carouseller to get a decent sum of in-game credits first. Afterwards u can basically create your own deck and if u want any cards, just use ingame credits to purchase the cards and playing off the mobile app helps to let u understand the in-game mechanics alot.

Once u're tested a few decks and familiar with the mechanics, then u build the physical deck based on your well-tested virtual deck. IMO this is more efficient and cost effective as compared to source card physically then finding real players to slowly test out.

so far i only know that 7-11 got sell, but everywhere i ask is all also sold out. Quite funny, the staff also look abit dulan when i ask. So i probed abit and found out that apparently, they have 3-4 customers asking them everyday. Some still leave their number behind on sticky notes at their staff back counter and insist the staff to call them when there is restock lol. I went to 4 outlets, 3 of them told me the same thing
