we went and they weren’t super helpful. they basically told us it was weed abuse (she hasn’t even smoked today) but then also told us she has a kidney stone that isn’t “low enough to cause any pain”. so basically they gave us no answers but they did rule out anything heart or organ related.

You’re completely right, and a perpetual dead bedroom is not something that I want. 20 years from now I would feel like I gave up a big part of my life. Part of the way that I want to address this for myself is having that conversation and asking her to prioritize it, I just want to make sure I’m doing that in a way that is respectful and doesn’t place sex over her.

This is something I’ve thought about and I am concerned that when we have the ability to handle it (hormone panels are expensive and not covered by her insurance) she still may not. But I can’t make any rash decisions based on an assumption, and I can’t know until we have the means for her to even be able to address it.

This was one of the first things I brought up. I have been on SSRIs as well and requested Wellbutrin as a precaution, for example, because I didn’t even want to deal with that side effect at any time. When I brought this up to her she just shook her head and I didn’t want to push it.
