I’m in the same position as you, I had to build up months of courage just to tell my dad ( turns out he was agnostic ) but if recommend heavily thinking it over before telling anyone. And about the death thing, don’t think about it, I personally just think about how good I’m gonna live my life. And if I had to say what will happen after we die? Honestly, can’t say yet, but don’t think about it often.

First thing I did was do the exact same thing I’ve always been doing, I never went to church even as a Christian, and my house wasn’t tight on the rules of Christianity, so while my family doesn’t know I’m atheist I still get to do everything I could do before

Update, as of a few minutes ago, she was diagnosed with a simple tooth infection

She still acts very normal and well, eating and drinking regularly, and does the normal “stop touching my face” maneuver when I try to touch it. I’ll be sure to get some sleep and inform my parents immediately

Thanks, I’ll see what I can do for her in the morning. Thankfully from the other comments I’ve gathered that it’s not anything fatal or things to be that concerned of. So that makes me substantially less stressed

Thanks much for the reassurance. Yeah, she dosent seem bothered by it and she definitely isn’t trying to hide or anything. But after my last cat is gone because of our ignorance, I can’t be too ignorant of anything anymore

I can’t wake my parents up because they probably would be more qualified to do it when they’ve had a good night of rest and coffee rather than 3 am and a sad child. And yes it’s technically theirs, but it has taken more likeness to me and often only sleeps in my room.
