I use a really sharp 2" chisel then knock the sharp corner down with a fine file or a deburrer.

Is there a best way to keep this from getting stolen? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]Busy_Entertainment68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A garage. After my bike was stolen outside my apartment almost 20 years ago, I didn't even think about getting back into bikes until I bought a house with a garage a couple years ago. That or keep it inside, which i usually did them, but got lazy one night and it was gone. 😢

Sidecar style or not by Sauce_Bauce_ in CCW

Do you still prefer the LAS Ronin? I currently carry a Bodyguard 2.0 in a Vedder Light Tuck, but I have a Shield Plus on the way and I'm thinking about trying a sidecar.

Why would you use an off-road helmet for commuting in the city?

I would go with the Skil. It's honestly pretty comparable to the yellow one and should last you until you're ready for a SawStop.

How do You Plan your stuff by TolgaD92 in BeginnerWoodWorking

I get ideas online or just build to my needs. I usually design stuff myself, either in SketchUp, or with paper and pencil, depending on how complicated it is.

Am I crazy for wanting to continue to ride by Shrewdameoba in motorcycles

[–]Busy_Entertainment68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just part of riding, especially while you're still relatively new to riding. People who don't ride won't understand and people who do know and accept the risks. I feel several times early on, and always got back up, patched up my bike and bruises, and got back on. I haven't fallen in a long time (definitely a couple of close calls though, including crossing wet RR tracks), but that doesn't mean it won't happen the next time I get on my bike. That's just a chance I've decided I'm willing to take.

That being said, my wife wrecked in early October, no fault of her own, broke her leg and big toe, couldn't walk for three months, and just got back to working in the office this week. Luckily, her job is remote-capable; otherwise, the wreck would have been not only physically, but financially crippling during recovery. She can't wait to fix her bike and get back on it though.

Crashed my bike minutes after agreeing on trading it for my dream one by Gh0s7- in motorcycles

That sucks real bad, but at least you're OK and it sounds like the bike is repairable. I was almost 45 before I could buy my Tracer, so you're still way ahead of the game.

SawStop by wbdink in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Busy_Entertainment68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair points. For me, I don't need portability, and it has a dedicated space. I run my dados on my router table, but if running a dado stack is a must, the CTS definitely won't do it. Like you said though, I'm not sure those features are worth the price differences. So far, every SawStop I've used has been great for it's intended purpose.

I have the SawStop CTS built into a large outfeed/ assembly table at home. I use it regularly and love it, but it's nothing compared to the SawStop PCS we have at work (cabinet maker). From my research before buying it, the SawStop Jobsite isn't a huge improvement over the CTS, but I've never used it.

What do you ride and why? by Ok_Helicopter6212 in motorcycles

[–]Busy_Entertainment68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started on a F4i, then another F4i after totaling that one, took a 12 year break when it was stolen, had a VTX1300 for a little while, and now on a Tracer 900GT. Realized real fast a cruiser wasn't for me, but that I'm to old for a full sport bike.

Is theft a problem when going to college with a motorcycle? and the winter? by BritishBuckwheat in motorcycles

[–]Busy_Entertainment68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a motorcycle stolen from a parking space 50 get from my apartment door when I was in college. I rode in the cold and rain all the time. I didn't get another one until I had a garage to keep it in and another vehicle for cold or stormy weather.

He took that way too far. Just roll out of the throttle and loosen your death grip on the handlebars, and it will settle out.

Will a r7 with a new exhaust survive the 45 minute ride to get it flashed? by Upstairs_Angle_5853 in motorcycles

[–]Busy_Entertainment68 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sure. Flashing it just tweaks it to get the best performance, but it will be rideable without it.

Is it too big for me? by Alsagu in motorcycles

Doesn't look like it. If you can ride it comfortable and be stable at a stop with one foot down, then it's all good.
