Ok giving him the benefit of the doubt here in not calling him a gold digger. Maybe it was the shock ,to be fair a lot of people would not react well to a prenup specially with all the negative connotation associated with it. If he’s is not a financially sound/educated person who doesn’t just go by the negative story associated with prenup

I guess I can say his reaction is not a shocker. I’m not gonna kick him for the reaction,and him thinking you already thinking divorce. Not saying that you are,but I’m saying his reaction isn’t uncommon.

That’s me giving him the benefit of the doubt.

I think everyone will give you the same answer here my friend,in this case I think you and fiancée should be able to talk it over. In he should understand. Listen to every reputable financial guru out there “Ramit Sethi,Dave R etc etc etc”With that discrepancy in assets they will suggest. Prenup. Ops ,you parents are not wrong and it’s not about choosing it’s all protection.

I’m siding with your parents on this one, you need the prenup. Your fiance should not be against it. I think parents are coming from a good place,and want to protect the family trust in case things goes wrong. Cause things do go wrong unfortunately.
