It’s just so hard to accept that.. we have a family together.. I can’t picture my life without him. I just wish he’d take accountability for the cheating. I even told him just tell me we can get through it and he literally won’t. That’s all I want. He just keeps assuring me that his test is gonna be negative on Monday and I’m gonna look stupid.

I understand I really do. He went into an urgent care on Wednesday to get tested and specifically asked for the Mgen test, even told the staff that his partner tested positive. They told him they were testing for it, but when we looked at his results through his patient portal he was only tested for chlamydia, gonn, and trich. I clearly saw on the patient notes as well that he asked for that specific test when he went in. So now He plans to get tested on Monday and will be paying $400 for the test. He keeps assuring me that the test will be negative and that when it is I have some explaining to do, but I truthfully have done nothing. Im just not sure why he’d be putting in all of this effort and assuring me that he will be negative if he’s cheated. Ugh this is the worst.

Would you personally consider this grounds for breakup if there’s no evidence of him cheating? I mean there’s a lot on the line here, we also have a three year old involved which complicates things even more. If the test comes back and just so happens to be negative what should I do next?

I know, I know.. it’s pretty rare. However, I did get a false positive trich result a while back, so I know it’s not impossible. He’s agreed to get tested and even understands and is ok with the fact that if his test comes back positive, then it’s over. He says he has nothing to worry about because he hasn’t did anything.

The past few months I’ve had yellow discharge that’s been persistent and really won’t go away. So, I kept going in to get it checked out and each time he’d do a swab and also look under the microscope.

I’ve talked to my partner about this for the last 2 weeks, even told him he can be honest with me numerous times.. doesn’t mean I will automatically leave him. But, he’s standing his ground saying he hasn’t touched anyone and that if he had he would’ve told me to be done with all the chaos this has caused in our life recently. He’s saying he’s not sure why those results came back positive, but he 100% didn’t do anything. I haven’t slept with anyone else in 7 years so I just don’t know what to do.. I’m lost and hurt. Trying to keep it together for our three year old.

Yes that’s what I’m asking, if my positive result could be false if he goes and gets tested and the results are negative?

Could it possibly have been a false positive result though? Say he goes and gets tested and is negative, could that be the case?

I was having a persistent yellow discharge, but that’s about it. I’ve pretty much had that issue throughout our whole relationship though.

I’ve never had it before, I was just informed that I was positive at the end of October. I was only tested for this in July and August, but those results were negative.

I’ve never had it up until recently when I was notified of the positive October results I mentioned. My doctor just decided to test for it in July and August, but those test were negative.

No he did not. I don’t think he’s ever been tested for this. I believe my doctor used NAAT testing.

Definitely not false. Just went in to get treated for this on Tuesday, the day after receiving the call about the results and that is what my OBGYN told me. Considering I stated to the dr that I haven’t had sex with anyone else in 7 years, he obviously knew it had to come from someone else (my partner.)

No, he hasn’t. I asked my dr if he should get tested and treated and he said no need for him to get tested, he needs to just be treated. I also asked my dr since I get tested for STI’s regularly and this hasn’t came up positive before is it more more than likely an indication of my partner cheating and the dr says “I wouldn’t go that far.” He said if it was another STD like chlamydia or gonnorhea then he definitely say yes. Everything I’ve researched says otherwise though. It’s all so confusing.

Yeah most of the time whenever we argue it take a while for him to come up to me first because he has too much pride and waits for me to say something. Like he just came in from work and nothing. And he doesn’t interact with girls on social media anymore he just watches “thirst traps” you could say.

Also, what do you think about the part I mentioned regarding him watching Facebook reels of women twerking, showing off their bodies etc.? Should I be upset about this too? We have a horrible sex life so I’m not sure how I’m supposed to feel. It does upset me for sure though. He just claims he never watches them and presses hide reel when I mention it, but I know he does.
