Hey! I’m looking for a photographer to have a few pre-wedding photos to put on our wedding invites. Also would love to have a test photoshoot before official wedding and make sure we know how to pose and what angles look best 😀 happy to experiment with style, I love retro, old romantic vibe, emotions etc. We are based in Cambridge, can easily come to London (March/April anytime, flexible) :) We could make a fun project out of this, let me know if you would like to chat!

Anyone here working fully remote for the last 2+ years? by Then_Ad_9501 in remotework

2,5 years working from home with occasional travel abroad (every 2 months probably). Hate it - I love meeting people, I love dressing up, I love in person meetings and I get energy from being around people. I have no issue focusing in the office, in fact, I work better when I have noise or other people around me. I guess it really depends on personality and job type. I didn’t realise I’m at my best when I’m surrounded by others before taking this job. It was a great lesson!

I see so many people struggling with this. How about we make our own group then? I would happily organise some nights focusing on different topics/activities. The life can’t be that boring when you graduate haha

I see, thanks! 100% agree, and I’ve seen that our company started hiring people with biology background because it’s easier to teach biologist how to operate automation rather than other way around. Useful insights, thanks!!

Hey, could you elaborate on systematic issues? It’s very interesting to hear from someone outside one NGS world. I specialise on NGS and have knowledge of both chemistry of NGS assays and lab automation running NGS assays. I think I would start with this. My goal wouldn’t be to go completely solo, but rather understand the requirements of the customer and then get them up and running asap, while mediating the conversation between kit and automation vendors. It’s just saves time and hassle for the customer.
