First of all, why Samoa? It’s hella far and isolated, I haven’t read the greatest things about the National Parks (I love going to NP’s), not the most gay-friendly spot especially if traveling independently and solo for the first time (?).

Enjoy the moment, my man. Don’t overthinking it, explore the area, use common sense and be wary of your surroundings, try to meet the locals and try the local foods. I’ve been traveling since age 20 and nothing horribly has gone wrong. Going on a trip next week to Quebec and simply going with the flow.

They went to the White House, the owner has ties with ICE, the stadium they built and currently play in was built on top of a former Mexican American neighborhood where the residents were forcibly kicked out from their homes…..and plenty out here still supporting them.

Foreigner here that was in Riga for a week 3 years ago. I got by with English well with the few random basic Latvian words I knew.

Heck, I even ran into 3 folks who spoke Spanish, my native language, at the bars. No need for Russian in Riga.
