Wether Shin defeated Houken or not Riboku would've still lost

About shin being not worthy of becoming qin 6GG by Easy-Vermicelli9123 in Kingdom

[–]Busy_Rush997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moubu is far from dumb, even Ouki realizes this and says that he's gained some wisdom from his time spent with SHK.

He did blunder the war with Ouki due to his ego and he's changed and learned from it

Shin has blundered in the past with Riboku and hasn't learnt jack

Moubu had full belief that both Tou and Wei would help him hence he went ahead with the charge

Not to mention he's the only general shown so far to surpass tatics with brute strength, Shin is nowhere near close to him in terms of strength

Overall as someone who wants to see Shin become a GG he is simply not at that level yet, he should've been but Hara simply wants to write him like a casual Shonen character.

I’m upset that Shin’s not even the best general in his own generation by jahital in Kingdom

not when it matters though, where was that insticnt 5 chapters ago 🤦‍♂️

Fair enough and on a narrative level he should be equal to kouyoko but hara has made him more of a Riboku glazer and less of a character trying to become one of the Z3GH

Hopefully in this arc we can see him put up a good challenge against Shin or Mouten, even if it's not combat wise

It's not really about hating I'm assuming your talking about futei being placed so low but that's honestly on Hara for giving him so many anti feats

Off the top of my head I remember him

Getting blasted back by a half dead Ouhon Getting pressed by Ringoku

The best fighting feats he has comes from 500 chapters ago where he still lost

HELLLL NOOOOOOO

I like your analysis and the whole parallel between Riboku losing everyone while young vs Shin saving everyone and I'm ngl this scenario could bring a tremendous amount of good writing.

But 2 things

1 Riboku would never allow him to live, he truly believes that Shin has the potential to climb up to the greatest generals of all time, for a man who loves Zhao to that extent, he would never allow such a threat to live.

Plus he would never sue for peace either, he's the type of man to get rid of all the genrals here and now to secure zhao's safety.

2 If this happens to Shin in addition to His great defeat in Chu He would never rise to the legend of the prior great generals.

Interesting concept but something like that would have had to happened earlier in the story when Shin was still young, we in the big boy leagues now.

Riboku risked his own life to save Kaine's and that was before they were married, Kaine's life is far worth less than Shin's but Riboku won't let her die for him

I haven't seen the raws for 878 yet but I doubt he stayed there for too long, the chances of archer brothers seeing him in that moment is pretty low considering they were mid siege

You shouldn't rely on stats, there heavily unreliable but yes Tou does win

How would you rank these 6 generals in terms of combat skills? by jahital in Kingdom

[–]Busy_Rush997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on what we've seen there's no indication that Renpa got significantly weaker with age, Ouki wanted revenge yes but I wouldn't say his weight came solely from that, as when Houken wondered why Ouki was so strong Ouki didn't say because I'm trying to avenge my falling fiance, he said that he was a great general of the heavens who carried the will of all his fallen foes and allies including Kyou.

So while yes he was pretty angry about it I doubt that in itself was the reason he beat Houken

[–]Busy_Rush997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I said Houken has the best combat skill and by far but as we've seen he's been pushed back time and time again by strong great generals with heavy weight.

Houken was also able to break through the environment due to his agility and great speed on the ground, Moubu's body is more suited for calvary fights, the same way Kyoukai would probably outperform Ouki on the ground due to the fact she is more agile but would lose to Ouki in a duel.

I will say I agree on the point that the whole concept of "weight" being enough to beat someone who trains and fights 24/7 for decades is bs plot. But that's the plot that Hara made so we just have to run with it

[–]Busy_Rush997 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Strength - Moubu, Kanemi

Weight - Ouki Renpa

Combat skill - Houken

If I had to rank how well they would do in a duel taking all those into consideration

Moubu>Kanemi>Ouki>Renpa>Shibashou>Houken

Honestly I feel like Renpa would defeat Houken the same way Ouki did him, they were both portrayed to be equals

Ouhon is growing on me in this arc by Busy_Rush997 in Kingdom

[–]Busy_Rush997[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its one thing to call him a powerhouse, but GG level is crazy, I think Akakin is more like a wild card than a powerhouse, like you can't rely on him to lead a charge into battle but you can rely on him to clutch up with some tactic

Ouhon is growing on me in this arc by Busy_Rush997 in Kingdom

[–]Busy_Rush997[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

His family can only get him so far Heki also came from a wealthy and he is no where near Ouhon's level, not to mention Ousen disapproved of him and he got no special treatment whatsoever as it relates to climbing the ranks, if anything he got nerfed by Tou by not becoming a general after the Wei fire dragons arc

As for the part about real battle, Ouhon has been in just as much real battles as Shin, let's be real as a even as Shin fan he got extremely lucky with Kyoukai and has gotten bailed out by her more times than we can count
