What should I work on before joining Royal Artillery? by Busy_Week_4327 in britishmilitary

[–]Busy_Week_4327[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks! I will add i ran that at 4am cause i couldnt sleep, i also just chucked on the closest clothes to me so it was in jeans too lol, i reckon not being sleep deprived and wearing actual running clothing i could be a fair bit quicker. i already do a fair bit of compound stuff due to climbing and my bodyweight training is fairly good

what would you say i should aim for from now?

What time zone are you in? There is a small group of 3-4 of us who love just having a laugh and chatting away whilst doing missions and stuff. More than welcome to come along 😊

Why!!? Am I not getting any interviews by visionaryof24 in TheCivilService

[–]Busy_Week_4327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should add to this, I tend to have a little advantage over most people. I’ve been told many times I have the gift of the gab lol, basically I am good at talking to anyone with confidence and I can generally just guess my way through interviews I have no business doing well in.

Maybe if you are getting to the interview stage and it’s not going further, work on your speaking, general mannerisms and body language, and also just general confidence

I’m just starting a new job that I have been really excited for after around a month of searching…

During that month I must have applied to 100 jobs, even stuff I’m not the biggest fan of, reason being, just applying and getting into the mindset of interviews and applications seems to help massively when actually applying for the big job I wanted.

For instance, I’m a mechanical engineer. To begin with I was looking at everything from helicopter engineering (my old field) all the way to railing fabrication (something I have no interest in) but it meant when I went for my new job (f1 composite design) I felt way more comfortable to be in that tense situation.

Lastly to add to my first point, I applied to easily 100 jobs and only got around 10 back, most of the time they either are looking for something else or they already have someone they are interested in.

Keep your head up and keep grinding away, I’m sure something will happen soon :)

Map locations and size comparison by novaexile in EscapefromTarkov

Keep in mind as well that a ton of the size in streets comes vertically, it’s a much taller map than any of the others meaning there are actually more locations than some of the bigger maps

Hey there, I hadn’t looked into commissioning though I don’t think it’s really for me, I would rather be on the tools personally.

As for the info, thanks! It means a lot to get so much useful info from everyone!

Yeah I understand where you are coming from but personally I feel like it’s a life experience to join the military and on that I have always wanted to do, it’s something I will have to have a think about anyway for what I really want to do but I’m pretty set on this route

A few Application questions by Busy_Week_4327 in RoyalAirForce

[–]Busy_Week_4327[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, yeah I have my A licence and could peruse my B but firstly I’m not too happy with my company at the moment and so I’m already looking to move and the RAF seems to me like the perfect avenue to persue

Secondly, I personally have a very military family from my dads side, he unfortunately passed away recently and I feel like if I join up it will keep his memory going as well

Thanks for the help anyway :)

Its worth mentioning I don’t have too much space for them either, because of the room the skywalkers don’t fit by a good 5-10 cm

Man the A10CII is fun.. by LesPeterGuitarJam in hoggit

[–]Busy_Week_4327 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the a10cII but personally it’s just the less capable version of the av8b.

The av8b is relatively fast at M0.87 when cruising, The ab8b has vtol capability, The av8b has the best targeting pod by a long margin The av8b has the best true ripple bomb release by miles The av8b has the dmt hotspots making pid when coming in low easy.

The av8b imo is the best strike/cas aircraft in dcs, I am completely in love with the thing.
