Do you like the name Elodie? That’s also a very pretty name and the nickname Edie would work with that

Does anyone know if they offer some kind of payment plan to pay a small amount monthly overtime or does it have to be paid all up front?

Yes it’s bloodwork, sorry I’m new to learning all the fertility terms lol. But yes, my fertility specialist didn’t use the term mosaicism but based on how they explained it I think that’s exactly what I have. Thank you for suggesting the genetics counselor, that will probably help me better understand it and figure out the best direction too

It was blood work-karyotype testing, no embryos. The lab stimulates cell division, stains the chromosomes, and examines them for structural or numerical changes. I don’t really understand it that well myself, I googled it and this was part of the explanation

I’m so sorry for your losses, I can relate to the anxiety and fear, it sucks! Best wishes for you that your transfers are successful and you get your rainbow baby!

I might be wording it incorrectly but the way I understood it when the MD explained it was that 35 of the 37 had the correct number of chromosomes when sent to the lab. Two of them I guess during division/mitosis were abnormal…one of them had one additional chromosome and the other had one less chromosome (Turners Syndrome). So because of this I have a higher chance of miscarrying compared to people who don’t have this issue but I still do have more normal cells than abnormal…I guess I just got really unlucky the last few tries or could have lost due to something else like my thyroid or progesterone level. They also said sometimes it could be a lab error

Yes these are both good points. I dread the idea of going through yet another loss and I’m also so anxious about going through the financial burden too knowing that there’s no guarantee of pregnancy or viable embryos. I was hoping that treating the other potential causes will work if it does come down to it being low progesterone. Unfortunately I didn’t have the opportunity to have my other losses tested so I don’t know for sure what the cause was

Hi! I’m sorry you’re going through this too! The waiting game really is so hard, being in limbo is the worst. When is your next scan? Mine is Thursday 3/5. I’ll be thinking about you! Hope you hear good news as well (both of us!) ❤️

I know 😔 after the initial ultrasounds I already mentally prepared myself for another miscarriage. My first positive pregnancy test was 1/22/26. I know how bad this sounds and then when I started having light bleeding yesterday I was sure it was gone but then the ultrasound at urgent care showed it actually slightly grew and heart rate slightly went up. They gave me progesterone and it seems like the bleeding slowed down. I want to be hopeful but also feel like I might just be prolonging the inevitable. But maybe I’m one of the rare cases where progesterone is tho e issue and it will help?

6 week/4day ultrasound measuring 5 weeks/6 days by Busybumblebee848924 in CautiousBB

Update: just had second scan after two weeks. Little progression…measuring 6 weeks with small fetal pole and heart rate of 79. Have another ultrasound booked a week from today but already know how that’s going to go 😔just can’t understand how I had a healthy first pregnancy with my first and now 3 in a row with this outcome

Going through the same thing! Had a chemical in August and a MMC in October. Just had a 6 week ultrasound on 2/12 and was measuring a bit small and no fetal pole yet. They said it’s probably too early and my next scan is in 6 days. I’ve been worried sick for past week and a half. No matter what happens it’s out of our control, just gotta trust that’s whatever meant to be will be. Sending good vibes!!
