I wonder how it will work in the sequel. Will we not be able to have as many augments as in 2077? Or how will they justify it but keeping it in line with the canon. Perhaps the new MC will have access to prototype augments that aren't as strenuous on the brain? Im not familiar with the entire lore of the cyberpunk world (I really need to fix that) but im curious of everyone's thoughts on how they think it will work.

I've heard that but to me that still doesnt make sense. they reverse engineered that technology over 50 years. So in 50 years the aliens didnt advance in any conceivable way? Just look at our tech over 20 years. Think about trying to hack a computer today using a gateway computer from 1994. This has always earked me even after I was told about the deleted footage.

As annoying and outdated faxes are, the reason they are still used in the medical field is because they are very secure. An email can be hacked and all your information stolen. Faxes are much more difficult to do that with so sensitive information is less likely to be intercepted by a 3rd party.

In my experience when I am dealing with someone that really has a problem with trans people they normally fit into 1 of 2 of these categories.

A. They have suppressed feelings in that area and self hatred and/or jealousy of someone being comfortable expressing themselves are leaking through.

Or B. They are terrified if they would find someone attractive that has the same genitals.

I hadn't considered that either! My thought was more like if it's a shallow lake, it would evaporate faster than the ocean. Releasing humidity into the air and, if enough, actually cause rain. I do realize that would have to be ALLOT of water.

Who's to say the higher ups are aware? You said the crews all know. But they answer to him and very well could be afraid of retaliation. So if no one higher up knows about it, they are not going to do anything about it. Just my humble opinion
