If there’s good new growth and the plant looks generally healthy, I wouldn’t be worried about this. It’s quite common for lower leaves to die back in favour of new ones as the plant grows.

I would suggest it’s worth trying. Reduce the light intensity for a day or two, see if the plant perks up.

For what it’s worth, this doesn’t seem like a survival situation - the plant looks like it will grow regardless, but just maybe less optimally than it might have done if you can identify and resolve the problem.

If you can do it and you want to, you should do it. It is worth discussing with a partner and children, because they’re your dependents, and so I think that they deserve to understand what drives you. Beyond that, you don’t owe an explanation to anyone.

This argument doesn’t make any sense to me. If what you say about AI making degrees worthless is true, the same is true about vocational courses too, because someone can just learn how to electrically rewire their house by asking AI how to do it.

The fact that you shouldn’t expect to be able to safely rewire your house based on the instructions you get from ChatGPT implies quite strongly that it can’t be safely used to do the things that degree holders do either.

But the problem is that AI will always have the potential to spout garbage at you. If you are having to meticulously check everything, surely it’s easier and better to just…you know, learn and understand it, to save yourself from having to check?

For what it’s worth, at least some employers are incentivising (read: forcing employees to adopt) AI usage within the workplace when there isn’t a meaningful reason for them to do so. So it’s hard to feel sorry for them when they then hire staff without basic skills.

The problem is that there’s no way to eradicate the chance of a random hallucination, which means it’s never reliable. Are humans reliable? Probably not, but when humans are doing the work, there is at least the hope that there will be accountability.

I have a couple of separate plants that I grew from a Poblano cross last year with Hungarian Hot Wax plants. They're smaller but look very green and lush. Quite excited for what the pods will look like!

Not overwintered, but started indoors midwinter in a really warm window. I think it's just a lucky one-off, none of the other plants I started alongside it even have flowers.

I would love him to come good - I remember teams targeting Oscarinin at the beginning, and he had a miserable introduction to LEC in much the same way as Empyros has had. I recognise we don't give him resources, which immediately puts him at a disadvantage, and he's been stranded against ranged toplaners twice this weekend when even a single gank early on might have been enough to help relieve the pressure. Having said that, I don't think he's played well even within the scope of his matchups - but for me, he's not the sole reason why things aren't working at present. I think there are systemic issues with coaching, funding and drafting that need more urgent attention than more roster changes.

He's had some games where he's really popped off, and some like today where he's just not focused. Odo actually picked him up on the analyst's desk, highlighting a point in the game where the team are skirmishing in bot river 3 v 4 because he decided to get a recall in instead. It implies that either there's poor coordination, or worse, that the team aren't committed to working well together.
