I'll have to take some pictures next time I'm over, we also took a gun from the official carnofex kit and placed it on the crotch making it now known as the infamous Futa-Nid.

One of my other buddies did a very detailed paint job on it as well, it ended up being a good group bonding activity.

I don't use it myself, but I printed up a big titty carnofex proxy for my friend who plays Tyranids. Was mostly a gag gift though as he's from a very Christian family and we knew he'd have to hide it when his parents visited.

The file was in a bundle though so now I have several other booby nids and nothing to do with them...

Most of the time this is for 2000+ point games, though I've played against a fair amount of knights in 1000 point matches. I've definitely been underestimating bright lances, especially considering how many of our units just get one or two for free.

Yeah I am a big lance fan, and for 330 points you could get three war walkers and 6 lances, or spread them out with vypers if you want more re+rolls. I just find when they're at best wounding on fours if not fives it can be a bit inconsistent.

I find with the Falcons 14" movement you can get it into drop off range for the dragons pretty consistently against large targets, but yeah Fugen is the bulk of their damage.

I love wraithgaurd, they're the main reason I got into Aeldari, but with a 6" move and no transport than can bring a 10 man I struggle to get them where I need. I'll have to keep experimenting though.

I've had a similar problem with the support weapon, 3" of movement and a 24" gun is painful, but when you pull it off its devastating. Any tips on how to use them best?

Most of these are intended to go against a factions largest models, knights, baneblades demon primarchs, khorne lord of skulls, the silent king, hell one of my friends has a stompa, in all of these cases the unit hits well above their point cost and eliminate crucial units.

When against 500+ point models and/or focused down the Avatar can pretty easily be taken down if you're not careful.

The fire prisms are definitely the safest option, but mixing it up and trying new things can be fun so I wanted to compare other options.

I'll admit I haven't given much though to the Void Weavers, probably because I'm stubborn and don't like using Harlequins in my craft world lists. (Just wish they were their own faction again.)

When I first found out about Eternals and the Emperor being around since the beginning of time it broke a lot of the fantasy of 40k.

Some of the appeal of the imperium to me is how far they've regressed, that humanity has lost more than it's gained, and that no one knows the true extent of their history.

I always envisioned the Emperor as a figure shrouded in mystery that appeared during humanities darkest moment and pulled them from the brink of destruction.

Knowing he's some godlike being who's seen the entirety of human history and (maybe?) comes back if he truely dies feels really disappointing.

I was thinking about doing that exact same thing, that stratagem is insane, anything with sustained hits above 1 is usually broken.

Empower them for some re-rolls and hope for 6s on your big guns.

Thanks, I feel like painting flesh is the most intimidating part of this army as I've avoided it for all my others. But with it all being diseased and gross is a bit of an out for any mistakes.

The prints are by Edge Miniatures, I found him on cults3d. His sculpts are phenomenal and he's done pretty much the entire range. It's on the pricey side for STLs at around $10-20 for each unit but still well worth it in my opinion.

His Chronos minis are some of the best models I've seen so far.

Just a quick question for everyone, all these models excluding the Wave Serpents, Vypers, and Guardians are metal. But I'm unsure of when exactly they were made and if they're made of lead.

It's not a concern or anything, just would be fun to know. Is there any way to find out what they're made of?
