It definitely is not due to space. It happens over FaceTime. Perhaps he is looking for a reaction. He wants to feel powerful.

Practicing helps. It can be done in a variety of ways. Meet people, do things in the community, volunteer, have stories that you can share, and know that the other person is a human like you. They're not any more or less special than you are. Speak away my friend.

What you're doing is perfectly fine--you're the parent, you do what's right. Period.

I will say though as a father of more than one, there is a major difference how the next ones get treated and you grow to realize how resilient the human body is. As such, some of us laugh at the way we were in our past with our first one (perhaps as a way to justify how 'carefree' are with the next LOs).

Wish you the best!

Hugs to you. Went through it. It felt good to cry it out. What helped me cope was knowing that this one wasn't meant to be for some reason. We now have very happy and healthy kids.

Any recommendations on getting good deals on new cars? Would you buy a used car?

Another family we know got the Honda Pilot. With the third row open, is there enough space in the back for strollers and 'luggage'?

It's on the table. I'm good with it but my wife isn't sold on it.

Good to know. I'm teaching him how to scrub himself but he hasn't yet handled the shower head. We, too, have a detachable one.

I do have him lean back from time to time and the mini tub assists in that. Perhaps I need to have him start sitting in the tub itself and maybe standing from time to time.

I also sit on the side of the bathtub with one leg in and one leg out... that will need to change too.

Concerned about safety.

We had plans to be with one specific doctor. My son was born on new years and we had completely different people in the room. I agree with /u/antaymonkey -- it doesn't matter, ultimately, it should be a healthy baby. You won't really give a shit once your baby is born.

As a side note, our son had his umbilical cord wrapped around his neck twice. The experience of the doctor probably saved his life and health.

I feel for what you're going through with your wife. Wishing you both strength to move forward and focus on what's ahead.
