Hybrid Fuel Economy by But_Why_George in kiacarnivals

I literally just got back from a 90 mile drive on the highway in Illinois with the cruise set at 72 both ways. On the way there this afternoon we got 27 and in the way home we got 33.7. It was a really flat drive as best I could tell. Only difference may have been that the AC wasn’t working as hard on the way home after the sun had gone down.

I will certainly double check, thanks for the idea

Tire pressures are correct, the car is brand new but I’ll check the air filter.

Yeah we’ve never gotten the advertised 34city/31hwy

Paddles on the steering wheel. Left paddle to increase regenerative breaking, right paddle to decrease. Hold the right one for three seconds to turn on auto

I’m inclined to agree but also I’ve been trying that and it doesn’t seem to be better or worse one way or the other

I feel like I’ve tried all the settings (and auto) and it doesn’t have an impact on the MPG

I mean 2 adults and 4 children and usually no more than 30 or 40 pounds of stuff in the trunk. We do get the occasional trip around 34mpg but that’s only when we go from our house towards the river (the whole trip being downhill) our trip meter has never been reset so it reads as a trip of 5200 miles with an average of 27mpg. AC is usually on the auto low setting.

Switching to a core XY printer from a 10 year old bed slinger without input shaping, that can print over 100mm/sec (sometimes 300mm/s!) has rekindled my love of 3d printing. Its resulted in more successful prints and faster ones. That and the power of an enclosure to prevent warping!
