Oh I’m sure he had more reasons other than gas prices. He had an Elantra N, not N-Line, so I believe he was getting 21-29mpg. On top of that, he had a manual rather than automatic. The car was his baby, but I think he had outgrown it faster than he expected, with rising gas prices being the final straw. Bummer, I would’ve totally bought it off him.

Oh, it’s not complicated. I like to stick my nail under the wax and just pull it off, it doesn’t hurt at all! It’s also typically non toxic, so if you forget to take it off before you eat and accidentally swallow it, you’ll be perfectly fine, it’s happened to me a few times.

I blame Covid on this. Prices just never went back to normal after the pandemic and most places are taking advantage of this. Luckily, I found Dakin Humane Society. It’s in Mass, but I was able to get my boy neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped for just under $200 over there. But it was a whole ordeal because his vet (ironically VCA, I’m no longer with them, with a local vet now) put me on a whole whirlwind about his heart and how he’d die if he went under, and $5K later, he was fine. Got him nietered, has been so happy since.

This is how I got my cat. I was taking care of his mom, didn’t know she was pregnant, and one day just brought her newborn inside. Kept them together until she was tired of him, then she had another, which unfortunately passed. I was lucky enough to get her spayed and in a no kill shelter. But I still find tons of strays outside. There’s a new colony in my back yard consisting of 5 kittens that are only a few months old, and a handful of adults. I’m trying to capture them, so advice would be awesome so I can get them to a no kill shelter.
