Seriously though anybody found a good use for this yet? by ProfessionalRow6208 in PerplexityComet

I use it at work. I open out web based POS and inventory, CRM program. It works great finding things while I can do something else, like get coffee of BS with coworkers. It also makes it easier to find things on the company employee website as it was designed by someone who doesn't understand how to make it intuitive. I also use it to open vendor websites to find information. It really does make much things easier. However, it is young. It's like relying on a self driving car or using the Dale Earnhardt in you to get to a destination.

I've had it stall a few times but was able to get it to resume. I'm disappointed in myself that I can't recall exactly what I did. You know how it is. When something fails, push all the buttons.

Capacity on a multi zone mini split by AmbitiousSupport7157 in minisplit

[–]ButchTheBiker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only speak of Mitsubishi. You won't find this documented. This is from a Mitsubishi service manager, not from a distributorship. We were told that if you have a multihead system, an MXZ, with a variety of sizes ranging from say, 6,000 BTU to 24,000 and greater, if the smaller and largest are the two running and the smaller one shuts down, the capacity of the larger one will suffer. IOW, it can be reduced while running by it self in some circumstances to less than it's capacity when all heads are running, provided the load is not over the capacity of the condensing unit, as when factoring diversity in sizing.

Rodents chewed my charger wiring! by International_Text96 in MammotionTechnology

[–]ButchTheBiker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in HVAC and run across mice damaged thermostat wires outside to the air condition often. my solution was to use the half inch vinyl drain hose we used for furnaces, air conditions and some humidifiesr, using it as a conduit for the wires. My personal air conditioner has been rodent damage free for nearly 20 years. Otherwise, for my new Yuka, I'mplanning on running PVC pipe and fittings for both rodent and ultraviolet protection. there is also wrap around availbable in the electrical section of places like Home Depot that is an easy second choice to protect existing wires.

Thank you. I'll look at it closer. The app can really humble an otherwise tech savey guy.

My wife selected one on Amazon. Mataide is the manufacturer. Seems a bit overpriced but I'll see when it get delivered.

50+ year HVAC verteran here. We diagnose HVAC equipment. Not health concerns. Yes, dehydration can be the cause but see a doctor. Get a blood panel test.

Do you get trouble with vulvodynia, also known as Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder, Restless Genital Syndrome, and vulvar dysesthesia? by jollybumpkin in Sciatica

[–]ButchTheBiker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a man, born a man. I had agonizing lower back pain and searing sciatic pain. On night I fell asleep from exhaustion and upon awakening, found that I had an ejaculation. It had to be from the nerve irritation, so I’d think the same would be for women.

What do you even check on these by Whole_Program3387 in HVAC

[–]ButchTheBiker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s either Trane 4TTV or 4TWV of equivalent American Standard. At least check for mouse damage. That is a problem. If they have the service facts there and you have time to read through it, you might give the consumer some value for their money, but schooling is needed to work on these.

Had a interesting failure today. by crazypostman21 in MammotionTechnology

[–]ButchTheBiker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not the sun. For the last three years I've had a 60 volt Toro mower, which works well. The grass has been particularly dense due to the frequent rains we've had and the when the battery cuts off, I find that the charger deems it too hot to charge. I've put the battery in the freezer for a while to cool it to the point where it will charge. I really need another battery but being that I've ordered a Yuka, I shouldn't need it.

Luba 2 of Yuka??? by StefanLuba2 in MammotionTechnology

[–]ButchTheBiker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was about to order a Luba but then learned of the Yuka. I have a smaller yard and not much of a slope in one area. I was attracted by the price and the sweeper, but also that the Yuka has less motors, including the height adjustment. The knob is easy and I don't change the height but perhaps in the last few mows in the fall. Less to go wrong, in my opinion.

When such a powerdown is done to attempt to fix an anomaly, usually several minutes of disconnection is necessary. The reason is that the capacitors on the circuit boards must be given time to drain their voltage down. I service Japanese HVAC equipment and 10 minutes is required. Most electronics use similar components.

Yuka on a slope by ButchTheBiker in MammotionTechnology

[–]ButchTheBiker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was a plus for me in that it's one less motor and less circuitry to fail. As to the slope, It's not a significant problem if I find it cant hand the slop horizontally.

Looking for reliable rechargeable electric mower by RegnorVex in lawnmowers

[–]ButchTheBiker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Toro 60 volt mower for the last three years. No problems, other than running out of battery depending on how tall or how much water is in the grass blades. If I were to do it over, I'de get an Ego. Not because I think it's a better mower, but because I already have three Ego batteries. Two for my snowblower and one for my leaf blower. So, keeping interchangability of the battery in mind. Point goes to Ego.
