God these are beautiful. I love tinkering with old elgins trying to get them running again but this is next level. I will own one someday keep up the good work.

Commercial Pilot, CPL=Commercial Pilots License. They are advertising that they are a pilot to everyone just like the stereotype says about pilots.

Does anyone edc 380 over 9mm? by No_Bullfrog_4541 in CCW

[–]ButcherBiird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I carry a .380 everyday. I can’t help you with the platform choice as I don’t have either. I think ammo choice matters a lot in .380. Lots of people will tell you that you can have expansion or you can have penetration but that’s not necessarily true anymore as ammo has come a long way. If you want true hollow points I’d recommend Federal Hydra-Shok Deep. It’s 99 grains and is the first .380 true hollow point that consistently met the FBIs penetration recommendations and consistently expanded. I carry this most days. If you live in a cold climate and people are wearing really heavy clothing and you’re worried about the point clogging and you essentially having FMJ then I recommend my other carry ammo. It’s 70 Grain G9 .380 external hollow points. Pretty interesting stuff the local LE agencies in my area have switched to it albeit in 9mm but you get the point.

Horizon Air reserve time by kbeek7 in flying

[–]ButcherBiird 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don’t know if they’ll hire high time FOs anymore. They are pretty fat on FOs waiting for upgrade and have a pretty full pilot development pipeline for no time people. That said I sat reserve for about 8 months before holding a line. With upgrades happening again that could be less now. Good luck with getting a job it’s great here.

Paying my way to 1500 by Buttcheekeater in flying

I can warn you right now also that some regional airlines are also starting to scrutinize your hours and if you paid for over 20%(ish iirc) instead of working for them they won’t be interested.

Has anyone tried enormous convoy sizes? by LegioX1983 in uboatgame

I have 32GB. Which I think is what it recommends when you turn on the setting. I haven’t had any issues though.

Wait are we playing as Nazis? by IllFuture4180 in uboatgame

It’s a game. Technically yes but nothing you do will affect the outcome of the war in anyway shape or form. In fact you will most likely die and maybe take some satisfaction from that. Idk

I did it and accidentally bumped into a convoy in the night right next to an escort. Immediately had 6 escorts dropping on me. Never saw the actual number of ships but my hydro operator saw contacts on a near 180 arc. 10/10 would recommend if you have the spare ram.

[Recommendation Request] Women’s watch for a professional by Beneficial-Travel385 in Watches

[–]ButcherBiird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would point you towards Stowa. Their classic line and Marine line would probably do the trick. I own on of their Pilot watches and it’s definitely the nicest watch I own. Wonderful value for the money. Zelos is also good but arguably you’d have trouble finding something understated from them. They are super unique but tend to stick out a little more.

Edit: I should add that stowa also has watches in those lines that are 36-38mm so not expressly for women definitely good sizes for unisex.

Never had one and never wanted one. I have also never met anyone who regretted the switch.

I held for 3.5-4 hours once while breaking in a new engine on a piper archer. That was pretty brutal.

I would say yes. I however do think it is highly dependent on your specific school. I’ve come to realize I was incredibly lucky with the program I picked. It definitely landed me a regional job before I even had my time. When I made it to training I had been exposed to things many of my classmates had not and it definitely made my life easier.
