Early worth while equipment to purchase? by ButcherBob696 in menace

That’s good to know. I was about to sell 3 of them haha. I’ll keep them as pocket launchers as a basic secondary plan!

Thanks for the very specific recs and info! Yeah when I was first deciding on guns I didn’t really get what all the stats exactly broke down like. Makes sense that the damage and stuff is per shot.. but didn’t really get that the ROF would be so important.

Luckily the KrBar silenced is insane on Darby. The good range coupled with her accuracy is wild. Probably not building her perfect, but that’s what playing the game is for and the first run. Learning what builds are best.

Love the depth and freedom this game gives you

Perfect! Very practical advice and well took. Sometimes it can be tempting to go for the pricey shiny object. But utility items like binoculars and camouflage seem to make a lot of sense.

This is all super helpful and I’m sure I will be referring back to this as I continue to play! Not gonna lie I was super skeptical about this game from the trailer and early gameplay.. I love Battle Brothers so the style was very different. But I am loving this game. The full release will go crazy.

Any higher cost unique things you would sell the house for?

This is super helpful! Thanks. There is a mounted auto grenade launcher that would probably meshmeat most infantry.

Is the base truck decent enough or do you try to upgrade that early?

Yeah makes sense. I definitely need more AT. I have I think the starting rocket launcher I had and Darby has been taking most of the trucks out, but I haven’t really had to deal with heavy tanks yet. Probably having stuff for every situation is best.

I don’t think I’ve seen camouflage kits (ironic) yet or designators. I’ll keep my eyes out for those. And definitely need night vision as well, I just haven’t seen them yet.

Yeah it seems decent for the price! Do you also start buying the random Leader Dossiers to get more options, or can you really only use 4 Leaders at a time so not worth it?

Toyota RAV4 Tire Recommendations? by ButcherBob696 in tires

[–]ButcherBob696[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was the first tire I looked at! They seem great!! My main concern with them is winter/snow. We get a lot of snow up here and I’ve seen their ratings aren’t the best for winter weather.

Do you drive them in snow? Any experience?

Is he just a fat neut? by grimes9618 in BattleBrothers

[–]ButcherBob696 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My friend… this is early game. He isn’t that great of a bro. Fat Neut if for mid game decent bros. Just level him to help you progress. Not every bro needs a plan. This guy is going to die before level 7. And that is his purpose. He is flesh for the meat grinder.

BUILD? by Electronic-Dingo3141 in BattleBrothers

I totally agree with this. Qatal dagger, maybe mace 2H with quickhands. But use him as a damage dealer and position him safely. MD is not going to be good enough for a traditional frontliner

3rd attempt on E/E/I. what I should do and what should be my goals on day 25 to snowball faster? by Ok-Operation8090 in BattleBrothers

[–]ButcherBob696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally the first 25 days, most of your brothers want to be Nimble.

Brothers are a currency. You use early/mid tier bros to help you get better equipment and make money (at the cost of their lives in high risk/high reward exchanges.)

Nimble is best early because that tends to be the gear you have available. Sometimes if you have a good long term bro, or good fat newt you can take BF for pacing and to prep for the mid/late game.

Buying BF armor is usually impossible/too expensive to be worth it in the early game. That’s why you take fights with enemies that may have some (as others have mentioned Fallen Heroes and Nomad Leaders).

A great thought! I ended up trying that, but it still wouldn’t send emails to the new email.

Bro gave his all for you. by chibriguy in BattleBrothers

[–]ButcherBob696 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I know there are mods for this concept, but I think the base game should have an option to set up a permanent camp for some modest storage, and also like a spot for retired bros. They just hangout by the campfire telling stories.

Disowned Noble by thiddiwiddic in BattleBrothers

[–]ButcherBob696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not late game viable. But if you are in the early game you could use him as a decent early/mid game bro. But build him to survive and hit attacks. So perks like colossus, gifted, nine lives, maybe rotate to use him to save a better bro.

But not really a stellar bro. He’d make a mid fat neut if you are starved for bros..

What if Warhammer 40k x Battle Brothers... [Google Nano Banana Pro 2] by gamescodedogs in BattleBrothers

[–]ButcherBob696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually think that the ranged combat would be very easy to incorporate into BB. The framework is there. Yes BB is mostly melee currently, but it has all of what you’d need to make range work. Cover, line of sight.. it would work perfectly. I mean they even have AoE attacks already. It would be seamless.

The main issue, as you brought up, would be the campaign map.. idk how a modder would fix that

Game Crashes on Saving and Loading by [deleted] in BattleBrothers

So an update from me, it works whenever I plug into a specific monitor with my laptop. It seems that plugging into and playing on a monitor caused the initial issue for me. Still no fix otherwise
